does smoking pot hurt muscle gains?

I smoke every day and befor I go in to the gym! I feel more focused! For me personally I think it helps! Also great for bulking although it does impede a little while dieting! Hope this gets you high!
 
I doubt it effects it too much unless it causes you to be lazy or eat like shit, then it obviously is having a big effect.
 
depends on the person. if i smoke then i cant work out. i'll smoke trees on off days and i dont see much negative effects. heard something about it raising estrogen though, that could be why most stoners are skinny fat
 
Not at all. If I can drive a school bus stoned, working out is easy.
 
The only negative thing IMO is the DHT that you get from THC.. it's best ingested rather than smoked. I workout well eating a THC protein brownie before I train! It beats narcotics if you use for pain- like I do :)
 
Why can't they make thc inhalers, you know the kind asthma sufferers use. I thought I heard a while ago about thc pills, but haven't followed up on it in years.

Yup, Marinol (forget how to spell) they are fun, not like smoking, closer to eating a brownie. I personally do not smoke anymore, but imo the only effect it will have on lifting is possible diet/motivation, but that doesnt apply to everyone. Personally i got lazy when i smoked, and tended to go for easier faster food. However if those are not an issue, i say smoke away..
 
Some people lose ambition but as long as you keep your diet and training in check it doesn`t hurt.

Everyone needs their time to explore and try out new experiences, but there comes an age when you grow out of it and realize it's not what you need for a productive life.

Besides, the iron should be how you take out your stress and anxiety.

Marinol isn't thc. its the second active ingrediant in marijuana..:winkfinger:

No! If you don't want the "munchies" try a sativa. Some of these strains write up says they're good for hikes and all sorts of outdoor activities. They wont leave you cloudy, either.
 
Ya I like an upidy high don't want something that puts me to sleep! I smoked drank my per workout then went In the gym today, I get really anxious wen my pre workout kicks in but, once I get going it keeps it keeps me focused and keeps me in my zone!

Pot doesn't make you do anything. That is what pussies say, and I am sick and tired of hearing people blame their laziness on external forces outside of their own mind and body.


I smoked weed for over a decade, and my training was tip top during that time. Pot didn't make me go to the gym. Pot didn't keep my diet on track. I did that all on my own just like some lazy fuck sitting on the couch eating cheetos is doing that on their own.
 
Pot makes me feel good! I like it!!! It helps me focus in the gym so for me it is beneficial! It enhances my mood! So if your fucking worthless without it, IT WONT HELP YOU!
 
Smoke every day, but only after I get home from work and workout. I really don't think it negatively affects gains at all, and I haven't got the munchies in years.

I think it helps to have something to look forward to and "escape" at night after a days work and workout and stress and everything. Also, of all the potential "drugs" you can do, I'm in much better shape than my alcoholic or pill popper friends and the hard core drug users like heroin look like garbage so weed isn't that bad. I could never live life completely sober all the time, honestly I couldn't handle it and would freak out at the seemingly endless cycle of bullshit that life is.
