right, but this any breed
labs topped the list for years for dog bites...think a lab can't do major damage? think again.
I adopted her today. We pick her up on Monday.
she was happy to see me and not exuberant but she gave me a quick kiss then resumed ignoring me. watching her today I noticed that more than anything she was afraid of the other dogs.
She won't go into gen pop in my home until her training is complete and this will include training with a group that works specifically potentially dangerous animals with socialization. I actually don't think obedience training will go too badly...she was very easy to walk today. And by gen-pop I mean her crate won't even be on the main level of my house until then. She'll never be trusted unattended with anything other than adults in my home.
Today she was easy to handle...she let me handle her feet, ears and tail without issue but didn't let me look in her mouth at all...she wasn't aggressive or annoyed by it at all though...just moved her head. She also breaks eye contact if you stare at her which is a good sign.
