the pope doesn't live here or dictate policy here. here we have rabid conservatives waging war on the poor. they want to end abortion but those same politicians vote to deny hungry kids free lunch during the school day etc. voted against the job bill, vote against wage increases... wtf do they want? more hungry kids in America?

ultimately though, as a woman who has pushed two babies out of her vagina....one weighing 5 pounds and one weighing 8 ... i say a woman gets to decide for herself if she's ready for that. piss an egg then you have a right to argue. if you believe the bible birth pain is a punishment from god.
When a man and woman decide to have sex they take the responsibility for that. Whether that be a baby, an STD, or simply the emotional connection that may or may not be wanted. The decision comes when she has sex, not 6 weeks later when she pisses on a stick that tells her she is pregnant. It is laughable that a woman would argue a man has no say because he doesn't have a vagina, that has no say when it is both their child, and if the woman decides to keep it instead of aborting then he has to pay. Shouldn't a guy get to decide she has to have an abortion if he doesn't want to pay for the next 18 years? Just because you've pushed two puppies out of your vagina doesn't mean you are any more qualified than a man to have an opinion regarding abortion.
i've got to disagree with you here. A person who actually practices personal accountability and chooses to not have sex, or at least does it responsibly has in my opinion more ground to stand on. That is a person who practices what they preach. We need more personal accountability, not less. A person who makes the choice to not have sex isn't afraid. I can promise you that. fear isn't really that big a motivator when it comes to the desire to fornicate. fear is something pretty easy to overcome. Choosing to wait is if anything something society should want to hold up as the standard, instead of ridicule.
I can promise you the majority of women if asked would they do things differently for their first time would say they would rather have waited longer before losing their virginity than say they waited too long and wish they would have fucked sooner. something to mull over next time you want to attack someone for making a responsible personal choice.

a woman yes. a woman will think, feel, care, and plan just as someone worthy of the word man will. in a perfect world it would be this simple. it's not. it is unfortunate that people are so against abortion, and so frustrated with being unable to make it illegal, that they are attacking places like family planning. fp provides services that actually help so many babies and young children. the pope's condemnation of abortion will just make the blindly obedient double down in taking valuable resources away from the most vulnerable children in our society.

I don't remember making blanket statements saying that there are no unicorns, leprechauns, or faeries. You on the other hand have emphatically stated there is no God. So prove it.
Ive seen no evidence to lead me to believe in unicorns, leprechauns, and faeries. Therefore I don't believe in them. I have however seen amazing amounts of evidence that there is a God. I can't help but look around at the world around me everyday, or hold a newborn baby, and not see evidence of God. Every time I lay with a naked woman I have to laugh at all the idiots who think a few million years of random monkey sex could possibly lead to the simply divine creation that is our female gender.
I've seen no evidence that Catholics in the US vote the way you suspect they will. Have any stats to back up your statement?
