I like quantifiable results....i feel like the recent weight gain was a positive as far as mass goes...but i do feel better lighter....and eventually i will learn how to hold onto the muscle while i drop some more fat....mirror is the most important thing....and i think i look better
i see new veins....starting to see them on the insides of my arms not just farms...delt veins...ripples...actual definition especially under tension while training....feels like i actually have arms nowquantify by endurance, calipers, lifts, veins, dick length. Its tough to do. When i see the scale at 220 i instinctively eat more, it's weird.

I'm a convert. It's been around for a while, so not technically a fad.
Check out leangains and the bulletproofexecutive. The later is what Sil uses, and I prefer. I think it could be the key for you leaning up and staying strong. I got a thread going over at ASF and I'll keep my log here updated with stuff.
PM me if you need any help but SIL is the guru. He is a little more unstructured thou which I found harder to start with.
