    weak biceps growth

Be sure to change things up. For instance don't do 3 sets of 10 for six weeks in a row. Vary the sets, reps, and even the exercises and continue to increase weight if possible. Oh yeah, and don't forget to spend time in the kitchen. A good analogy is like a gun. The weights are the trigger and...

    lagging lats any suggestions

I prefer barbell rows as I get a greater ROM. Unless you have a T-bar machine, the weight on the end of the barbell doing Tbar rows will come in contact with you before you reach full contraction. It is good to mix it up every once in awhile though. Watch your back when doing bent barbell...

    weak biceps growth

It's funny you mention that. I'm the exact opposite. I have a decent bicep peak, but feel my triceps are lagging. I haven't done curls in probably a year, so my compounds must have done something with the help of genetics.

    My compound workout

Looks quite similar to Rippetoes program. I recommend that program for those that want to build a good foundation to build upon. Better check your form though!

    lagging lats any suggestions

Do the bent BB or DB rows to add mass to your lats. They won't give you the width that wide grip chins will, but the thickness of your lats will go way up with some kind of rows. I prefer barbell rows, but whatever works for ya. Do the chins first, then the rows, and then do the shoulders...

    weak biceps growth

Hammer curls, heavy bent BB rows (palm up for more bicep recruitment), and weighted neutral grip (hammer) chins. If those don't make your bi's grow then the rest of your body is not growing or your genetics hate you LOL. Though not relevant to everyone, but a good rule of thumb is in order to...

Whats the typical breakfast like for you all?

Hell if i know :D Here is what I buy @ Walmart (Maple Grove stuff on the left) Vermont Sugar Free Maple Syrup - Cozy Cottage Syrup It is not as thick as regular syrup but the taste isn't all that far off. I might not have noticed since I rarely ate regular syrup. And yeah it does have...

Whats the typical breakfast like for you all?

What, no kegs and eggs? Come on guys! Mine is typically eggs and oats, but occasionally I will have whole wheat pancakes with blueberries and sugar free syrup.

    Nastiest shake EVER

........but Rocky drank his eggs raw, why can't I?.......... :roflmao: Dude that does sound disgusting, but if in a pinch and don't have time to cook nor have any whey I guess it could be an option. That is, for someone more hardcore than I :thumb:

    wtf. quarter squats

I'm the same way. I'm 5'9" and have short legs compared to my upper body. The difference of ATG and parallel FOR ME is minimal. ATG has its benefits assuming ankle and hip flexibility is present and you don't have midget legs  Past parallel I've noticed I go into a posterior pelvic tilt...

    wtf. quarter squats

We poke fun at the goons at the gym who get all pumped up and load the bar up with 400 and then squat with a ROM of 6". I guess this is why they have bird legs :roflmao: Take wrestling advice from a wrestler and take weight lifting advice from a weightlifter (provided he is human unlike Ronnie...

A must view for you newbees

A good read on different grips for front squats: Straight to the Bar: Holding the bar in the Front Squat As far as using the plate under the heels, some claim it is very bad on the knees even though they did them "back in the day". Depends a lot on how you are built, i.e. long torso or long...

only as strong as your weakest link

:thumb: Couldn't have said it better myself. I prefer hammer curls due to the added bonus of working the brachioradialis. But again, if it were me I would stick to the compound movements and leave the isolations for a few years down the road as a "fine tuning" exercise.

This is a good read if you can comprehend it all John Berardi - Post Workout Nutrition This man is a diet genious and has some great articles on his website as well as on Tnation.

only as strong as your weakest link

Typically your body will grow somewhat proportionate. It's often equated that you need to gain 25lbs of lean muscle mass to add an inch to your arms. You won't get guns by doing concentration curls 24/7 if that is what you are asking. Stick to compound lifts and leave the isolation exercises for...

only as strong as your weakest link

Refrain from using straps as long as possible. There are times which mechanically you cannot perform the lift to your potential without straps. An example of this would be a HEAVY deadlift. When you get to that point you won't need to question if straps are required, because you'll have enough...
