A few days ago I noticed when I stretched or moved my right foot a certain way I got such great pains I had to sit down. Then today in the gym I got it again and asked a trainer. He said I may have something wrong with my tenden and to be careful or I could seriously hurt myself. But I do not know how I could have hurt it and was wondering what I should do? Is there like any certain stretches or anything I could do to help it out? ANY help would be great, if I screw it up and can't lift for a while I'm gonna get really pissed so I wanna take care of the problem before it gets worse. Thanks!

I know this sounds like a generic answer, but the best thing to do is have a dr look at it. We all want to work through pain, but its not always a good idea. If its actually pain and not soreness (im assuming it is since u had to sit down) and it persists, dont take chances by ignoring it.

Are you running quite often? I have the same problem when I run for to long. I can hardly walk the next day.

My buddy just snapped his achilies tendon playing basketball. It curled up into his calf  He is now recovering from surgery and will be off his feet for weeks.

Be safe and have it looked at.

Nathan

If there is something I know about, it's achilies tendons. I sliced my in half on sheet metal back when I was in High School. Screwed up my football season and everything else for a loooonnnggg time. Be sure to have it looked at by a doctor before you do anything that puts undo stress on it. Trust me, the last thing you want is for that thing to pop!!! CP...

K I guess I'll take the advise from everyone and hit the doctor next week. I stretched it out today while I was doing shoulders and decided to hold off on calves this week to be safe. Thanks for he advise.

I think the majority would advise you not to train the calves
for the time being.

Do you have any upper or lower back problems?
Sometimes a spinal misalignment caused at work causes one
of my arms or legs to be effectively longer than the other.
This can result in pain from the most unlikely places including
the hips, knees, and even the achilies tendon.

It has had me in enough pain to keep me off my feet, but once
the real source of the problem is addressed, the pain always stops.
Art.

Go to a sports medicine doc or a physio, not a regular doctor. They don't know anything about muscles and joints and will simply prescribe you a painkiller and tell you to stop exercising.

Yea come tuesday when I go back to class I'm going to the trainer in my school that takes care of all the sports players. They say he does a really good job. Hope he can fix me up.
