fructose is abosrbed through a different cellular pathway and does not effect blood sugar thus no insulin spike if large quantities are consumed. but just like any other sugar in excess in can be stored as fat...

ice cream and cakes contain processed sugars, one of the WORST things to intake into your body especially when cutting...

morning= large bowl of cereal , corn flakes with 1% milk.
mid-morning= protein shake, yogurt. nutri-grain bar.
lunch=4 chicken breast or tuna sandwiches (brown bread). and crackers,a sandwich every half an hour.
mid-afternoon= egg whites and orange juice
evening (on training day)= pasta
evening (on off day)= chicken breast or beef
night=protein shake

Wow, okay...not sure how open you are to suggestions or how much you want to change it....your diet could be a lot better :D

You need some protein in your first meal there...and oats will take you further than corn flakes.

Your second meal has quite a bit of sugar in it. A much better option would be protein shake w/ almonds and an apple or peach.

lunch....that's a low of sandwiches :D

Meal 4...I am so not a fan of orange juice, lol....pure sugar IMO....add some egg yolks to them whites...at least two but you could get away w/ 3.

Meal 5...not a fan of pasta either, but it's acceptable on a bulk....I'd be eating both the pasta (not really me :D) and the meat...doesn't matter if you worked out or not.

Meal 6....You really need to add some fat....1 tbsp flax, 3 tbsp whipping cream, etc....in w/ your protein shake to slow digestion throughout the night and prevent gluconeogenisis of your protein.

If you only take some suggestions...change meals 1 & 6...those would benefit you most.

Hey W8,

What benefit does the egg yolk provide? Just a bit curious.

OK, now I'm thoroughly confused. So what type of sugar is in grape juice? Earlier in the thread, we determined grape juice would be a good post-workout drink. Man, I've got alot to learn.

for the last meal of the day before sleep, protein shake with good fat would do the job, as opposed to eating whipped cream? what about peanut butter fat?

Not whipped cream the dessert...that's crap full of sugar. Heavy whipping cream..35%, in a carton....in the milk aisle....50kcals, 5 gram fat per tbsp. Peanut butter would work too.

one tablespoon of whipping cream per night before sleeping is sufficient or do i need more?

If it's 100% grape juice than it will definitely
be composed of fructose.
I was thinkin of a grape power mix like Kool Aid(simple sugars, awesome for post workout insulin spike).
Sorry man,
I wasn't thinkin.
I'm such an idiot sometimes.

No, at least 2-4 T (10-20 grams of fat) with 30 to 50 grams of protein depending on BW!

DP

what about before i sleep ,i eat hard protein such as chicken breast or tuna, do i need to eat whipping cream to slow down the digestion or is it that hard protein is slowly digeted anyway?

if whey shake and whipping cream are taken before sleep, how long after i sleep is it feeding my body? say i sleep at 12 am.

If that's the case, then why is nearly every creatine manufacturer saying to take creatine with grape juice or apple juice? this is a real bummer.

Don't know what to tell ya man.
I'm thinkin that 100% grape or apple
juice has to contain fructose.
Why not switch to Gatorade or Kool Aid
just to be on the safe side.
Or
Find out if your grape juice contains fructose.

Also
Companies always give suggestions on their labels.
That does'nt mean that it's gonna be your best bet.
Just look at the labels on food products.
They suggest 50 grams of protein per day.
hehe!
That makes me chuckle!

Grapes are mostly glucose, therefore i suspect that grape juice will also be mostly glucose.
