Oh, Al Sharpton, never one to let facts get in the way of a good tirade.
Sharpton claimed in a recent video editorial that the NRA is now anti-panda. Yes, you read that right, anti-panda.

?The NRA is out with a brand-new enemies list,? he said on MSNBC?s ?Politics Nation? last week. ?Topping the list ? this guy ? that?s right, Yun Zi, from the San Diego Zoo?just celebrated his fourth birthday. And the NRA considers him and the rest of the liberal do-gooders at the zoo to be ?threats to freedom?.?
?Call you crazy?? Sharpton said in reference to LaPierre. ?I?ll take a pass on that?Did the NRA think we?ll ignore their latest dive off the deep end??
?And leave the poor pandas alone,? he added.

Of course the NRA is not anti-panda. Sharpton is referencing the NRA?s new campaign to prevent the outlawing of ammunition containing lead.
As part of the campaign the NRA is focusing on researchers who are determining the effects lead ammo use has on wildlife. The NRA feels some of the researchers are being influenced for political means.
Lead free ammunition may be more eco-friendly, but by how much is still up for debate.
Currently lead free ammo is typically harder to find and more expensive than it?s lead counterpart.
Also, most expanding rounds (which are required for hunting in most states) still uses lead for its ease of expansion.

The anti-gunners know they can restrict bullets and jack up the prices considerably by getting rid of lead in bullets. Good thing for me, i know where to get wheel weights, and have bullet molds.

or any other wildlife that would nosh on offal. if you actually care enough to read the data yes, there is lead in most gut piles. 13 of 15 in this trial. so when hunters kill over 6 million deer yearly that is a lot of ingested lead.

Almost all of the Pandas in the wild are on preserves, the only animal China doesn't get an erection from unlike rhino horn, tiger penis, lion blood or whatever the fuck... How does lead in bullets effect Pandas in A Sharpton mind? Didn't I see him in a big fur coat before? The fur trade is what decimated Pandas in the early 20th century, that a farming/deforestation...

I think too much is wasted on Panda conservation myself, they really don't effect the food chain or eco system much at all. They eat bamboo, which if we suddenly ended up with an abundance of could easy be turned into flooring, and many other great products. They should worry about apex predators and other endangered species above the Panda, it only became the Conservationist mascot because of it's cuteness...

How did shatpton get on this soapbox anyway isn't trying to get George Zimmerman deported to Mexico enough of a cause? Btw Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world.
