Are my muscles still in recovery time? (I'm pretty new to all this)

Ok, I do crunches every 2 days (still no 6 pack showing yet  ). Ok, now sometimes when I position myself for crunches, two days after last doing them, I can feel the pain still in my abs from the crunches I did two days before.
So would this mean the muscles are still recovring? If it does, should I do crunches every 3 days instead of 2??

I never do, don't go to the gym (got anxiety so never really go in public places) but I am waiting for my parents (yes, only 17, got anxiety so yeah rely on parents) to get me weights.
I do lots of walking around though and running.

if you wanna see your abs its a combination of cardio and diet!

if you want to build your abdominal muscles, do weighted exercises once a week!

CAN'T WAIT TO GET THOSE DUMBELLS! I've never really used dumbells before, my mum got me 2 kilo ones the other week but they seemed so light. Would 5 kilos be good for a starter like me? Or is that too much for a beginner, or not much at all?
Oh yeah, if someone could answer my originall question......

I already answered your original question.

don't buy ant dumbells, quit being a pussy and go to a real gym!

The other question, are my abs still in recovery time because I can still feel the pain from the crunches I did 2 days ago. And if they are, should I be doing crunches every 3 days instead of 2.
I'll stay a pussy and get dumbells :p I would feel really intimidated and scared in a gym haha. Once I gain muscle and look good, which I'm hoping to do before the end of the year, then hey maybe i won't be a pussy no more and actually get some pussy :D

Ok umm, back to that question I just wrote before all of that pussy stuff......

lol. Ok, I'm a real newbie and I've heard about weighted crunches before, what are they and is that what you mean by "weighted excersies once a week"?

crunches 2 or 3 times a week....and abb work wil give you a 6 pack in about 100 years....its all diet.

I do lots o running every day, I've lost 20kg's this year, I've gone from 80 down to 60. Dunno how many pounds that all is.

Running helps but a tight diet will peel off the fat better than anything......doing both is best for most people.

Well I didn't end up doing any crunches yesterday and will do them today. I'm sure it's fine though, I can still feel a tiny little bit of pain from the crucnhes I did 3 days ago.

If you just started working out, then it's very normal for soreness to persist excessively for days at a time.

I always work through soreness. It has never seemed to hinder my progress one bit.

You do realize that doing crunches doesn't specifically target belly fat right?

I think if you want a 6 pack, you should list everything you eat in a day. Diet needs to be your number one priority. Diet + no exercise is more likely to get you 6 pack abs than exercise + no diet. (although both are important)

When you burn fat it comes off all parts of the body... not just around the muscles you are working. Crunches can build ab muscles but there are better exercises for losing weight.

If you are waiting to get muscles before going to a gym, you are going to waiting a long, long, long time.
