Recently I bought this low fat cheese and it's pretty good. Each slice has 5 grams protein, and only 2 grams and 1.3 grams of fat/saturated fat respectively.

However, I have this habit of putting bread which contain the cheese inside a microwave for about 1 minute, which allows the cheese inside to melt, get stickier and thus taste even better (yummy). My question is will 'melting' it inside a microwave kill the protein inside that cheese and increase it's fat value?

No, you will not kill the protein.

When protein is heated it becomes less digestible. But it's very little and not really worth worrying about.

So, keep heating up your cheese sandwiches, they will be fine! ;)

Protein can become partially "denatured" through "cross-linking" when cooked for too long. But a minute in the micro is fine.

Totally agree with the above on heating!!

But if you want to opt for Cottage Cheese it has an excellent nutricional value with a very high degree of protein content!

Personally i HATE the stuff but most BB swear by it mixed with tuna and Yam you have a very balanced high protein meal which is very low in fat"!

Cheese goes best shredded and dumped over bite-sized Tostitos, then thrown in a 400 degree over until the cheese gets slightly brown. DAMN that's good! (but only on cheat day) ;)

Back to the cottage

One of the ways I choke down cottage cheese is by mixing it with fresh fruit, especially pineapple. It's pretty good that way!

Waht about...

Does anyone here like the bleu family of cheeses?

Like bleu cheese, Stilton, etc? I personally love them but can't find many people who do.

Anyone know if they're good or bad for you?

I have to do the same thing or I'll turn green in the face.

Dont kill me, but cantalope is my fav. :)

Cantaloupe is one of the best fruits!

Doesn't Mozarella cheese have the lowest amount of fat per serving compared to other run of the mill cheeses like Cheddar, etc.?

Cause, I can't live without my weekly pizza!
