ha just kiddin..
what i am wondering is if decline bench takes stress off the shoulders at all?

Yeah, I have some sort of problem. For some reason whenever I do decline bench, I don't even feel it in my pecs, it feels like my shoulders are doing all the work. Can anyone give me some advice as to what I could be doing wrong?

the anterior deltoid is atill used as a synergist but decline bb or db bench for a lot of people feels like a more "natural" movement when compared to flat bb bench.

Declines are a waste of time. It is a highly known gym thing that the only reason people do declines is because the range of motion is small and the movement allows a fairly weak individual to put up a decent amount of weight.

Let me clear the bullshit!!! Declines are bullshit! If you are including 1-2 flat movements in your chest training there is no reason to do decline. Some of the weakest, smallest people at my gym spend a lot of time doing declines and I'm not down with it. If you really do lack mass in the lower chest do dips. BTW, to the idiots that do 6-8 different exercises for chest with about 4-5 sets per exercise you guys are retards b/c your chest will always stay puny and weak.

Huh? I do declines, but not to impress people. :)

Shut up Prince, you know your sole purpose in life is to impress Duncan. ;)

Declines are fine.

I agree, I find Inclines bother my shoulders alot more than Declines ever do.

Declines actually put your body in its most natural and strongest position. I like Weighted dips better, but declines are Ace. Why do think that power lifter Arch their backs, not just decrease range of motion, but it puts them in the strongest decline postion to press the weight.
