i am feeling depressed i went to the doctor and they tried to put me on antidepressants and i said screw that it made me feel 8 times worse theres got to be another route.on those meds no sexdrive iterferes with your sleeo i was like a zombie always was thinking crazy stuff. i work out but i am always so dame tired i get enough sleep. i kinda know what brought it on i lost my job had a baby stayed in the house for about 9 months taking care of the baby . i had just lost intrest in everything i was pushing my girlfreind away it was like i just wanted to be alone. i want beat i want to be happy and not sad all the time.

The change in sex drive is a possible side effect. It's not written in stone. Anti-depressents never changed mine.

Did the anti-depressant make you feel manic? If so you might have a bi-polar disorder.

I've been on my meds for 10yrs. You have to find what works for you. All meds are not the same. Some have worked fine and others were the worst thing I've ever taken. You have to find what is right for you, but you have to look at the signs. Do you push people you love away? Have you lost interst in things or people you used to love? Do you get angry easily? Are you tired all of the time? Have you started drinking more and more alcohol to feel better? All of these things are what I went through. If it sounds like you, sorry bro, if not than good. Everyone is different. Find what works for you. Be happy!

Stay away from the prescription drugs. Maybe you should smoke some bud. It helps alot of people with depression.

im bi-polar been that way all my life im 51 i did not get it diagnost til i was 48 but i have tried many different meds some times the ones i take work other days they dont give the ones your doctor puts u on stick with it

anti-depressant is not always good in our health. Maybe exercise can help you more on your problem

SSRIs make my dick as limp as a noddle.

I've heard mixed reviews with those pills that are to be the "answer" for depression, that many have brightened up their days with them and tried to commit suicide. This in turn is not an ideal response for those with depression.:geewhiz:

Can you make a change of routine? If you have a daily routine down and this either prior or after this 9 months with your baby, you then might find some inner happiness. That being maybe with your little one. You may wish also to find other hobbies and interests.

Personally, I think since you have a little one, spending more time with your little one and being a parent will keep you more in tune with your outer feelings, and less of the mental..."These type outings might do the trick." :ohyeah:

Hope you feel better!

Dont smoke sum bud !!!!!

Worst advice ever :loser:

"Paka saved my life".....When I'm manic it calms my nerves, when I'm bummed it cheers me up....the shit is versatile, they should do some deep research into it because for me it's a miracle drug.....and I stay horny unlike pills I've tried and I tried them all legally....

Look around your world and see what might be causing you. Look for sources of stress and possible solutions. If that doesn't seem to work, try an anti-D. If the sides are hard to deal with, start out at a lower dose. Don't listen to all the SSRI haters and myths about it causing suicidal thoughts. Depression is what leads to suicidal thoughts. Give it time. Don't stop taking it because you don't feel perfect after a few days. It takes a good 3-4 weeks for it to work. But, most likely it will help.

It also causes iffy boners. Are you experiencing this, McGilf? How do you cope with such a flaccid weener?

I've used them b4. It can give you unreliable wood and delayed ejaculations for the first 2-3 weeks. But, most all sides are gone once it fully kicks in. If he's depressed right now, he prolly ain't getting any tailpipe for now anyhoo. Otherwise, a little VitC should do the trick.

I hated them, after 6 months I just couldn't take it anymore so I weened off and just smoked weed, the good thing about weed is I'm not shackled to it, if I miss a dose I feel perfectly normal unlike with Anti-D's that dropped me into the funk of all funks if I didn't continue.....of course there are cases where the pills are far superior....

go to a few different doctors. depression is very serious, you need to talk to someone who is trained to deal with it and has experienced. my mother has bipolar and she did have a depressive episode, so I am writing this from experience. don't just ignore it, read as much as you can, reach out to other like you are here, maybe find a peer help group. deal with it before it consumes you.

hell this was so long ago, for the post, and I am a sucker for coming back

are you still alive?:nerd:
