Dropping 20lbs in 4-6 weeks?

Hey, I'm new here, so I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

I just came here to find out how to drop some weight, I'm currently 6' @ 205lbs, and (according to the height/weight body fat percentage calculator) @ 29% (60lbs) of fat. I'm just looking to get down to around 185. I have 14" arms, and around a... 36" waist? (Pic here: http://myspace-611.vo.llnwd.net/00244/11/64/244714611_l.jpg ) If you need to know anything else about measurements I'll be happy to supply you with the info

Most of my weight, as I've seen, is in my stomach and thighs :mad:, would you recommend a dietary change (I eat whatever I want, whenever I want at the moment, and I despise fish, so there goes a bunch of possible protein), or exercising? I've got my own (probably inefficient) separate workout for my arms, but I seem to be getting some results from it, although I'd welcome any suggestions for building biceps/getting more cut tris/getting bigger forearms.


I am willing to change my diet as much as it takes for me to drop those 20lbs, possibly more. As long as there is no fish, I'm fine with it.
 
If you want to lose WEIGHT, you can do a lot of cardio and eat less. If you want to lose FAT, then you want to look at dropping a maximum of 2 pounds a week. WEIGHT includes SOME fat, but also lean body mass, which you DONT want to lose. Read some of the stickies in this section, theyll help you out.

Haha, I guess I just want to lose fat, then. I don't think I have any lean mass to lose, though. :D

But yeah, anyone have dietary suggestions? I checked the stickies, and didn't find anything. I don't think I missed anything either. :hmmm:
 
whats happening in your life that you need to dump that much wieght that fast? is a deadline thing like the KGB called and is going to kill me on that day if I don't weigh a certan weight, or is it self driven if it is self driven shoot for 2 pounds a week loose more than that and you will be just yo yo dieting and it will all come back plus 5 pounds.

Nah, I just tend to give up if I don't have a strict deadline.

20 lbs in 6-7 weeks is fine.......4 is a bad idea.

you have to in this sport. it's the only way to truely know what the nutritional value of your meals is.
