I was just wondering, i don't feel as good doing cardio now because i just thinkg about like i just burned 400 calories and i'm going to go home and eat 400 calories meal? so all that hard work and i eat it off... this concept confuses me. can you tell me if i'm wrong and what the story is behind cardio

well you are going to eat the 400 calorie meal whether you do cardio or not. the goal is to simply burn more calories than you eat per day to lose fat. now if you go home and eat a gallon of ice cream, yes you are defeating the purpose of cardio. thats why its important to restore your body with lean protein and carbs, something it can use to rebuild itself. also, the cardio keeps your metabolism revving which means you will be burning more calories even after cardio. plus, it is good for your heart and cardiovascular system.

**the goal is to simply burn more calories than you eat per day to lose fat.**

so when you are eating 2500 calories a day, you are supposed to do enof cardio to burn off 2500 cals??

you should be doing Interval training and not worrying about how many calories burned during a cardio session...

everyone burns a certain # of calories per day just to live. that is their "maintenance level." to lose weight, you simply consume less calories per day than your "ml." among the health benefits, cardio raises your metabolism, is healthy for your heart, and burns stored fat.

i worded that wrong. maintenance level is the # of calories you take in per day to maintain your current weight.

LAM, is interval training REALLY that much better than regular elliptical cardio? cuz my legs are realllllllllllllly weak and its very hard for me to go all out for 30 seconds.... i can't even spring for like 5 seconds...

you can accomplish more in a shorter period of time doing hitt. also, it will keep your metabolism going for a longer time when your done.

it means you can do less cardio and get more results. if you cant go all out, it doesnt sound like hitt is going to work that well for you though.

hands down there is no comparison in terms of fat loss and the preservation of LBM...

how long have you been training your legs with weights religously ?

If you can't handle HIIT cardio then give Max-OT Cardio a try...

thanks a lot lam, i'll give max a try.. sounds good.. btw have you ever tried it and has it given results?

I have been alternating between HIIT and Max-OT sessions for several years. I enjoy both of them. if your diet is balanced then either will definetly aid in the loss of body fat...

do u ppl eat anything u like on a cycle 2 get cals up
