every person in this country should be able to live on a 40 hour paycheck. if you disagree stop whining about welfare. it doesn't take a degree to dig a ditch or sell underwear but we still need people to do those jobs. if you want to support sub standard pay do not complain about filling the financial gaps for people in those jobs. it's not like walmart can't afford to pay them...
^ anyone working that hard has earned a roof over their head, heat, lights, and groceries. doesn't have to be fancy but too bad people can't agree at least to that. i just can't see how it makes sense to anyone that working for wages that keep you on welfare is good for America.
no offense maniclion... but LW this was his first job its ment to be a stepping stool. With all honesty if your 40 years old still collecting shopping carts in the parking lot I do not feel sorry for you. You had x amount of years to bust your ass and budget your finances. It is called a job, not fun its meant to be hard. I am sorry but 8$ an hour for some one in high school to only have to deal with customers is nice. When I first joined the military I was making less then that. 550 every two weeks except I was being shot at on a daily basis. I am sorry I just do not have sympathy for people with out drive and motivation. I have even seen mcdonalds workers with drive and motivation. My buddy started flipping burgers and went to management and now owns one. Did this with out a penny to his name. Its called for for a reason. I do not believe in hand outs and i believe in survival for the fitest not caring to the weak.
