For discussion, how much is this costing?

You really think so? What have you done for humanity? Please tell us.
No joke. What kind of crap is that? It's that whole "all people are equal" bullshit. Most people have the same potential, but in the end, not all are equal.

The Pope lead a life of service and example, what the hell have you done Maynard Keenan?

i agree with the idea of john making a bomb. i just dont think he will take himself out in the process. i see him more as one of those serial killers that wants to get caught. like the bad guy off of the movie seven. he wants a very public trial so he can continue his agenda.

I really dont think he has the balls to actually blow himself up... or anybody else. Was just making a statement about blindly following something and not following any sort of common sense.

john its kind of scary that there is someone out there who can blind themselves to the truth as you have. to wrap yourself so much in hatred that you cannot see things for what they really are is sad. before you go on and n about where the catholic church should spend their money (something you are in no way qualified to do) maybe become educated a little bit on the subject first by researching how much they spend on charitable causes. i think you will be suprised with what you find out

Bio,

What is truly "scary" is that "religion" gets away with what they do. Using the catholic church as one example. And mention just some things, how does lighting candles, building huge expensive buildings, creating ceremonies, etc. get a person "into heaven"?

The American Indians for example were very down to earth. And had common sense. They KNEW where their life came from and how their lives were helped by the things around them and they understood the importance of all things. They also did not "spend alot" building huge buildings...

Here's the thing - when someone - like yourself or the catholic church try to tell others how they are "supposed to live their lives" then they open themselves up to questioning which is what I am doing. Honest questioning. Because it is to the heart of it all. "Creating" something does not make "truthfulness". That church creates "things" in an effort to get people to "want to join" and "to have acceptance". And for the riches. Try adding up the expense of all the buildings they own, the operation of all that, etc. and then see just how much is really spent on helping others who truly need help. Do the math. Christ we are told ONLY had a robe on His back and nothing else. So why the need for "religion" to "create" an "institution"? People who "profess" to "follow Christ and His teachings" rarely REALLY DO. As evidenced by their actions everyday.

Cfs,

That picture that accompanies your name - remember what happened when Janet Jackson....

Oh, but YOU are a "christian" and I guess "because YOU say it it ok, it is", right?

Former President Jimmy Carter has done MORE for PEOPLE HONESTLY HANDS ON! He IS "Christian" and yet he would not want a huge fanfare for himself I feel. He would want his accomplishments to speak for themselves and for others to do likewise - put their money where their mouth is. This also applies to "religion"...

Bio,

Your only purpose in life is to spead falsehood.

You do nothing that is constructive and meaningful truthfully.

You do not know me at all. Don't flatter yourself into thinking you know me at all.

John H.

Look at all the supposed "christians" here that reveal themselves truthfully and do not even know they are - all the haters, bigots, narrow-minded people...

And they can not even have an intelligent truthful constructive discussion about anything - all they do is bash or try to because that is all they know how to do.

What makes you any different by bashing Christians and calling them Zealots, Haters, Bigots, and Narrow-minded. Your opinions are not definate.

So STFU.

You're right about Jimmy Carter. When he dies, let's just drop him off at the local dump. He is a fucking idiot. Who the hell gives up the most strategic piece of land in the world? He continually did stupid crap like that. So yeah, let's save some money and toss him into the nearest dumpster.

Once again, the wake for the Pope has nothing to do with little shits like you and everything to do with the Catholics who follow their faith.

And you never answered my question: have you sold off all your valuables and given the proceeds to the poor? I fucking doubt it.

your arguement is extremely flawed. the american indians your correct did not build expensive buildings for their worship. no wait actually they did. ancient temples have been found throughout the north and south american continents. and the only problem with the american indians is they did not worship Christ, kind of an important fact.

oh yea and about Christ. you are correct this time. Christ owned hardly no earthly posessions, however he did go to the temple and declare it as "his fathers house" and on another occasion as "his house" and it is a matter of record the expense that was placed on the construction of the temple. only the finest craftsmanship was used and no expense was too much. let me now explain to you why.

God gave 2 great commandments the first: Love God. the second: Love your neighbor. what people are doing when they spend money on the worship of God is showing their love for him. when man creates a temple for God and by that i mean a "house of God" they are adhering to the first great law. if they took that money and spent it on the homeless, then they would be doing as you say they should and placing the second law above the first. this does not mean the church should not spend money on charity and like i said i think you should research how much christianity gives to charity, it is a considerable amount. christianity as a whole gives more than any government so you might want to choose another topic to complain about.

I,

Pointing out something is never wrong. There is nothing wrong with saying something about something you feel is not right. I am not "bashing" I am merely point out something. "Christians" bash.

What I said is true. Re-read it yourself. Ask yourself the same questions.

Cfs,

Calm down now. Just because I pointed out your "version of Janet Jackson"... You remind me of those that bashed President Clinton in the "Monica" affair. Those that spoke out the loudest got caught themselves by Larry Flint, publisher of Hustler Magazine. He put up a million dollar bounty for those that could provide information about those who were so vocal against President Clinton - guess what? The biggest mouths of the Republicans were THEMSELVES CAUGHT being just as inperfect. Yet when confronted with the facts they cried foul - "oh why are you looking at us?!" Well if the shoe fits...
You like others to believe you are so perfect.

As for me and my personal "wealth" I'd like to see you care for others as I HAVE AND DO and still maintain a farm and home for my family. I REMEMBER always those that are in true need and I DO HELP whenever possible. In fact my entire family believes in this as well. My farm is not a "Rome Italy, etc." And what we do on my farm HELPS MANY others. We do not live excessively not by any stretch of the imagination. Anyone that knows me and my family personally KNOW that.

I feel "honored" to be hated by a "self-proclaimed christian" such as yourself. I just wonder how you will face God in the end. He knows those that lie or not, are good or not, help others truthfully or not, etc.

Bio,

You better recheck your "facts"...

And, because they did not "worship Christ" makes them "less" somehow? How about what "christians" DID to the American Indian in the "name of Christ"!!!

You do not have to "explain to me" but you DO have to explain to God when you and others like you die. How will you explain the EXCESSES of your life while others who are less fortunate and unable to care for themselves do without while you "throw your parties"? Or are you conveniently forgetting this part of God's words to you and others like you as you so often like to say you follow? Just wondering.

I have "researched" how much "christianity" GIVES ITSELF. And anyone that will open their eyes will see for themselves IF they are TRUTHFUL and ACCURATE. Many, not all, "christians" live "many lives" - one they put on and the other they like others "to see"....

In your "worshiping God" you completely miss His entire messages. And the most important. You are just for "the glitter" but not the "work that is constructive and purposeful".

John H.

So in your fucked up World John, being called a bigot, haters, zealots.. etc is acceptable.

I have read your Statements, Too many times to be exact.

The Problem is in your mind christianity is to an extreme certain side. Making you the extreme opposite. Extremists are the problem John, not Christianity, and your extreme ignorance shows with every response and the unwillingness to answer questions that are posed, and instead going off on a completely different tagent.

Don't tell me to read your statements and accept it as the truth. I have my own mind and can make my own decisions on how I perceive my surroundings, just like you have. So stop forcing you opinions down everyones throat and STFU for a change.
