gear and death

Here is how I see it.
Im a well educated man. Science degree.
I have been using AAS for decades.
Im about 99% certain it did in fact kill me. Modern medicine brought me back to life but I was clinically ...dead for some time.

Now, you would think that I would be demonizing steroids.
Telling you to stay away.
Dont do it youll die.

Im not telling you that. Im saying, understand that there is a very real chance you MAY die directly from AAS use.

Ok.....so, the point...

I think it was all worth it.

Everyone is gonna die some day. The best days of my life were AAS fueled. When I started I was 135lbs.
Now after 3 months with no training and eating 2 small meals a day Im 200lbs butt ass naked first thing after a piss in the morning.

I still look bigger than most people ...If IM in line at a grocery store Im the biggest one there.

Also, Now that I can go back to the gym I can likely return to close to my former glory because of muscle memory. Im hoping for 225 @ -10%
Natural.

There is no fuking way that could have ever happened without the prior use of AAS to build the muscle cells.

Its worth it, to me personally, because I loved the life I lived right up to the day it happened.
If that was the end, So be it. I dont remember it, dont remember caring much. Just over.

So live your life. Do the things that make you happy.
Love those close to you and do right by what you believe.
Take risks.....because youll regret more what you didnt do than what you did do.

If it kills you. At least you were happy in life instead of a miserable prude.

My guess is most people who cycle do not get routine blood work done, and that is dangerous. As pointed out previously, AAS raise red blood cell count (RBC) and hemoglobin... which is good, but only to a point. When it goes too high the blood gets too thick, which can lead to heart attack and stroke.

The important things to look for in blood work is as follows:

Total cholesterol (normal 125-200)
HDL (greater then 40)
LDL (less then 130)
Triglycerides (less then 150)
RBC (4.2-5.8)
Hemoglobin (13.2-17.1)
Alkaline phosphatase (40-115)
AST (10-35)
ALT (9-60)

The first six are concerning your heart, and the last three are for the liver. AST and ALT are liver enzymes and if high can indicate liver damage from orals for instance.

Giving blood can really help lower hemoglobin. You will save on average 3 lives, and possibly your own. I can attest to this. Just last month I gave blood to the Red Cross, and they check your hemoglobin. All they are concerned with is if it is too low, which means you are close to being anemic and they will send you home. Mine was 17.4, which is a little too high. I donated the pint of blood and had my labs done a week later. Lab result came back at 15.7 which is perfect.

Look up how many pro wrestlers died young of cardiac arrest. Also how many suicides (possible mental effects?) the number is shocking

Its shocking that 250lbs guys wearing tights and grabbing each other for a living and take 50 blows to the head a night have mental defects or heart attacks?

5"10
195lbs

Currently cycle:
Cruising on 250mg Test Cyp/week.

Very interesting and uplifting perspective on life. Thanks for the thoughts. Appreciated. :)

I know of 6 bodybuilders in the last 12 months who had cardiac arrests in their 30's. Only one lived.

That is scary. Is it safe to say they ran high doses and rarely done bloodwork?

I wonder if the suicides and death are just kayfabe. jk, I actually love those guys...they put it on the line multiple times a week with no breaks just to entertain and I have to respect that.

i know personally 3 AAS abusers who died from cardiac arrest at ages below 30 ..one basket ball player and 2 bodybuilders, after autopsy and study doctors absolutely confirmed that it was due to AAS abuse. and i know right now 2 bodybuilders who are not dead but in serious deep shit and will probably won't make it because of aas abuse and both are below 45. i know a guy who is deformed due to synthol abuse that lead to infections and all sort of weird things, they had to remove a complete bicep muscle and chunks of muscles from other parts of his body ( he was on national TV too). AAS use for bodybuilding will not lead to death all the time but will most probably lead to a shitty quality of life , physiological and mental health period.

I died.
Pretty sure it was gear related.
Dr said she thinks it was gear related.

Take it for what its worth.

I know people like to lie to themselves.
When you abuse AAS you dont want to admit that it can kill you and that people die from cardiac arrest associated with AAS use ALL THE TIME.
If you do admit it.....well it means we are all none to smart myself included.
But.....I doubt anyone is going to stop.
I wouldnt if I hadnt had a cardiac arrest. Hell I still shoot 100-150mg e3d even after the cardiac arrest.

Just understand that the potential is there.
Not everyone makes it out. I know personally 3 bodybuilders who died from cardiac arrest in the last 12 months.
I also had a cardiac arrest.
So did luke wood and art atwood who drown after having a cardiac arrest.
so 6 I know of in the last 12 months.

Are you gonna die from AAS?
Probably not.

could you? Absolutely. Dont doubt it for 1 second.
Watch your BP
your cholesterol
keep your doses sane
dont take risks you dont need too especially if your not making money at BB.

Thanks for telling it straight. Too many people don't get it and think that it's a game.

I know this is probably supposed to be funny and I think steroid related evil is blown out of proportion most of the time.

But I just found out this week that one of the people I respected most on any forum took his own life (months ago) when his steroid use was discovered. I don't know if it's a secret so please don't ask me who it is as I do not want to betray any trust his friends may have placed in me.

I just found out about it two days ago so it's still pretty fresh. It was a huge shock to me and I keep thinking about it.

So steroids are serious and you need to prepare not only for the physical consequences but also the social, emotional, etc.

It's not secret, his thread is still on this forum and people are leaving their condolences. God damn tragedy and waste of a stand-up guy.

Back this statement up. So you know 3 people that the doctors absolutely confirmed their death was due to AAS? Enlighten us because it would be a medical first.

Anabolic steroids, acute myocardial infarction and polycythemia: A case report and review of the literature that article talks about all the possible problems with AAS. I think the largest one is the increase in RBC, as mentioned quite a bit in this thread. I've only run 2 cycles (2 months and 3 months) but my hematocrit went from 44 to 52 in that time. Blood letting / giving blood is one way, naringin (grapefruit extract, or you could eat a bunch of grapefruit) is another one. Ingestion of grapefruit lowers elevated... LOL, no you don't and no they didn't.

I swear your posts are so misleading and full of BS anymore I just laugh.

XYZ yes i do know them and yes they did die due to AAS usage..... wake up from your denial state it is not going to save you or anybody else

Its all about genetics no two people are alike so its hard to say if you do this this will happen etc ... I do know one thing no matter what it is too much of any thing can be bad for you. Moderation is the key ingredient to everything from diet, workouts, gear ....................more is not always better .

^^^ sure some people get affected more than others..and here lies the problem...if it was the same for everyone then no one will dare using AAS, i even know a guy who takes AAS like crazy and he has done it for years foolishly, no PCT ( or at least not nearly as much as required) no nothing and so far no obvious problems, no hair loss no gyno , just a bit of acne but nothing else, but i think he is playing with fire, someday it will catch up with him

No you don't.

It's ok, they have support groups for people like you.

Good luck.

BJG, go back to the natural section and let the grownups talk...

Brundel, did you have any pain in your chest prior to this?
