This usually happens from hitting a vein!
I hit vein once...first pin.....
Taste is hard to describe.
If you really want to no draw up some gear and once you sway pins,
There will be a tiny amount of gear trapped in the pin you swap. Taste it.

The 2 last times I've injected (I also aspirated, no blood), I've gotten this shitty "oily taste" in my mouth. Weird it happened 2 times in a row (never happened before!). The first time I freaked out a bit, but calmed myself down.. 
The second time it only took a minute or so before it went away.
This actually just happened 10 minutes ago.. my last shot this cycle.. 2 weeks and PCT awaits

Can't say this has ever happened to me. Have you tried brushing your teeth prior to pinning? 
I didn't see this thread and just started one of my own. Everytime I pin my TestE, I get a mild alcohol taste/ aroma in my mouth.
Could it be from the alcohol that I use to prep the area?
