How long before you looked in a mirror and thought wow?

I have been weightlifting for the past four months. The first two months I didn't read up on weightlifting and threw myself into it. The upshot was I wasn't eating enough and overtraining. In the third month I started to read up and increased my calorie intake but was still overtraining. Only for the past month have I been training with a proper program (Max-OT) and eating properly. I have now started to notice my body changing shape and it's a real boost.

How long was it before you looked in a mirror and thought wow? I know every one is different but how long do I need to wait before I notice a big difference?

Just a suggestion take progress pics now and along the way.
Quite often you don't notice 'how much' your physique has changed or how significant your gains have been unless you have something to reflect back on. ;)

ill say "wow" when im satisfied. Hmm im never satisfied... o no, a conundrum.

Best I've ever said is "hmmm, getting there." I leave the "wows" to other people, LOL. :D

Exactly, I'm still waiting for wow. Sometimes I think "cool, progress..."

I get scared and scream when I see myself in the mirror.

I seemed to have the same effect on others when I showed them my picture. :hmmm:

4.2 minutes. Maybe 4.3.

yeah - i get WOW's from others but for me .. I NEVER say it.. still waiting for that time... I guess thats what keeps me working out soo HARD!!!

When I first caught the lifting bug when I was 16 yrs old, it took about two months before I could look in the mirror and say 'WOW' to myself. It was as if I was looking at someone else's body with my head on it; I couldn't believe that they were my arms, my chest, my legs, ect...

So I continued to lift; nothing more motivating than progress.

After 7 yrs of lifting, my life hit the shitter; injuries, marriage on the rocks, failed business, aggrevated assualt charges, two yrs in and out of courts, ect...

Know I am feeling fine, and I have gotten my life back in order and back in the gym after almost 3 yrs off. I don't catch myself saying 'WOW' to often anymore but soon enough.

the first time i said wow was october 9, 2004, at 10am. It was the day of my first contest (came in third) and I was shocked. I came from weighing 278 a year before and weghed in at 210.

but he wants to see them :D
