I was wondering if anyone knows any good workouts that hits their shoulders good ?

I really like going on the military press machine after a light shoulder workout and then do like a crazy drop set.

Hey,thanks for replies
I was wondering if you know any dumbell ones that are realy good ?

Definatly, Probally one of the best tools for hitting your shoulders.

1.) DB Press / Alternating DB Press
2.) Arnold Press
3.) Side Laterals
4.) Bent-Over Flys
5.) Front Raises

One arm db press & db lateral raises (front, side, & bent).

Looks like we posted at the same time. :) I forgot Arnolds. I love those!

How can I do Bent-over dumbell flies without straining my back?

yes. This will do you right-
1.)Clean and press
2.)lateral raises, seated & standing
3.)upright rows
4.)push press
5.)follow up with arnold presses, front dumbell raises, if you can uses a cable machine use it.

for me using a long TUT brings the best gains to my shoulders...

If you were to use only DB's...What would be the best choices if your only limited to 3?

Military Press
Lateral Raise
Rear Lateral Raise

be sure to put in some exercises that hit the posterior delt head. alot of people neglect this and never get full shoulder development.

lat raise with db....1/4 raise with higher weights and a butt load of reps.

rear delt.....pec dec facing in toward it....

I would say shoulder press (Basically military press with DBs), upright rows, and perpindicular rows. It varies depending on the person. There are a lot of enjoyable and intense shoulder exercises available.

Chest down on a Incline bench... then perform the movement laying on the bench.

I believe it stands for time under tension. You can increase TUT by doing your movements slower, like doing a 3 second negative before you complete the positive motion.

set a bench at 45 degrees or something close and lie on your front side with your chest at the top of the bench. have your db's ready on the floor.

^ Thank you wilde!!

I'll argue that the best way to hit the rear delt head is by standing upright and doing the "reverse fly" with a high pulley. You have much more control over the excersize this way and you're not throwing weights around. I personally can't stand bent over dumbell rows and I don't do them because they hurt my shoulders.

Reverse flys seem like a good way to go, but I really like dumbell rows. At first I didn't do them right. I didn't keep my arm perpindicular to my torso. Once I learned the correct form, (I did it in front of a mirror because I could tell I was doing it wrong) then I really began to feel the effects.

I'd go with...

Arnold Press
Side Lat Raise and
Front Lat Raise

that is what i'm doing at the moment with a few cable raises on the end to finish, i could probably do with changing it about a bit though, i've changed all my other body parts and am making prgress but shoulders are starting to lag behind in terms of strength

I'm aiming for mass, so i guess I could change arnold press to smith press or barbell press? or maybe do one of those instead of cable raises to finish

what dose everyone think the best mass builder is for the delts? Like that 1 essential exercise you can't do without?

peace

anyone???!

I really like good old fashioned military presses and upright rows. You could always do them with dumbells to give yourself a change of pace.
