That's because most of the other countries in the world cannot because the lack the ability. Other cultures have tried over the millennia. The Mongols, Romans, the British, the Chinese, and Egyptians all come to mind. In the end, only the Western countries rose to the top. Which again feeds into my side of the discussion.

As always, your reality distortion field is in full effect. American companies, as well as others, invested in Germany (not the Nazi party) because they were coming out of loss of WW1. They were growing at a phenomenal rate as they rebuilt. Investing always chases the growth, wherever it may be. Thought the US companies tried to keep the ties going after WW2 started between Germany and the other European nations. Truman put an end to that.

Bullshit. The West didn't get involved in those regions in large numbers until the 15th century. What were those third world places doing before that? Very little in terms of civilization (other than Asia). The Middle East hasn't done jack-shit since the converted it Islam in the 7th century. Sub-Saharan Africans were still living in huts and killing each other wholesale. They didn't even have a major civilization beyond a couple small trade nations. The Aborigines were the same.

At 100 BC, the Roman's were living is palatial estates with duct-works and broadening man's understanding of the world, while Africans were living in huts. But maybe, just maybe you're right. the problem is simple. They should have never aloud the federal gov't to use the word marriage as a holy union between two people. The term marriage is a christian/chatholic union between man and wife.. yes... But the second the gov't steps in and says if your married you get this and that, that is where the problem came in. They started to allow non religious members to conduct marriages. In the Bible the term marriage is a covenant between man, wife, and God. However, the gov't recognizes marriage as man, wife, and gov't. This should never have been aloud. They should have originally kept marriage a Church tradition, and then if your married you go apply for a civil union for benefits. A contract with God and a Contract with the Gov't basically.

The fact that they allowed the gov't to start handling marriages EVERY tax paying American should have the right to be Married period. simple as that to whom they choice. People are just ignorant with the word marriage and for me its a promise to God for others its a promise to each other. I'm not trying to refute you, I'm trying to understand why you have the knowledge of these histories yet fail to notice the patterns of the persons once perceived to be inferior, adapting and over coming and establishing themselves as just as good as those who subjugated and thought lesser of them. It's a well established pattern and we are merely the lucky ones at the top during our time.
