is 2 hours of cardio before a workout bad?

You shouldn't workout more than 90 minutes at a time. If you can't break up your cardio then eat less calories. But if you have 2 hours to workout each day that is plenty of time. Just do 45 minutes of cardio and 45 minutes of weights and 10 minutes of abs.
 
45mins of weights 10 mins of abs.. 4.5:1 weights/abs ratio.

Do what you can. As long as you get it in that's the important part. There are always exceptions to the rule
 
You need to be more specific about the cardio. Intensity? Heart rate? Intervals? Body parts used? Two hours of brisk walking is very different from two hours of aerobic jumping around, or running, etc.

Short answer yes that's a terrible idea.
 
What are u trying to accomplish with 2 hrs cardio then weights? Sounds like u need diet help. Need more into
 
I heard cardio after lifting was better. Reasoning being that if the muscle doesn't have glycogen stores available for energy it'll start to break down protein instead. On the other hand, if you cardio with low glycogen stores it'll be more likely to take it out of fat than muscle (assuming you don't do HIIT or anything extremely intense).
 
Generally cardio should be done after weights, but 2 hours is pretty long. As stated above some more details would help.
 
intensity is what determines the duration of exercise. the greater the intensity the more taxing the training is on the CNS and the shorter the session and longer the recovery takes.

but there is really no logical reason to deplete glycogen stores before resistance training, unless strength and/or stimulating hypertrophy is of secondary importance to you.

and why 2 hours of cardio? that's a dreadful amount of time to spend doing cardio on a machine. you would be better off doing some form of high-intensity interval training for 20 minutes. it are more effective for increasing the VO2Max faster and is more effective for fat loss.

If your going to run for 2 hours before a wokout, you mind as well not workout...I cant see how someone can gain muscle doing that much fucking cardio. 2 hours? THEN WEIGHTS!? I dont see how this is possible unless you cardio session is a fucking joke @ .5mph treadmile, or you are a meth addict.
 
Could you split your training,one day weighlifting,the other doing cardio??? It would already make things lot better just with that simple change!!!
 
You can eventually do it after the workout, but 2 hours ...????? Too much
