lean mince beef burgers (pattys) recipes :)

hello people,

just looking for some advice on recipes and how to make the best most tasty lean mince beef burgers i can.

im just about to make some for the first time got me a big bowl emptyed the lean mince into the bowl added some paprika cumin and parsley some sea salt and pepper and a bit of tommy tomatoe sauce! ive never made these before but have decided to make them a staple part of my diet :)

yeah so basically put all of the abouve ingrediants into a large bowl and lightly mixed together then made 4 burgers out of it.. im about to grill these bad boys in a min just wondering will they hold?

any advice for my next attempt guys?

p.s im not the biggest onion fan.. maybe ill crush and throw in a few garlic cloves next time and a tiny bit of onion i meen i dont mind onion just not the greatest fan!
 
oh yeah its 500grams of 100% beef says typically less then 11% fat i made 4 burgers out of that, sound good :)?
 
yeah well pattys were a lil dry and slightly deformed in shape but all in all not bad for a first attempt come on guys throw sum recipes at me!!

Higher fat content always produces tastier burgers. Places like In-N-Out sometimes use up to 60% lean. Mince the onions really fine and add them in, you might like them that way. Try mustard grilling them as well. If you have a flat griddle or pan you use brush lightly with some mustard and give it a try. That's also a secret some fast food places use.

never heard of in and out? what is that fast food joint or somethin...

i can get lean mince down to near 10% fat sometimes lower.. think im missin somethin to make them stick together abit better!

In-N-Out is one of California's best burger places.

As always, the more fat in the burger, the tastier and juicier. It's very difficult to get around. Try to take them off the grill BEFORE you think they're done so there's a slight tinge of pink inside.

And as Jodi mentioned, add an egg to keep it together if you're mixing the meat with anything.
