Hey guys this is just a question for the people who have been on the gear for a minimum of 5 years +

Just wondering how many of you have been on the gear for 5 to 10 + years, just post up age and how long you been on it and if you have had any problems due to the gear!?

What I've seen in older long term users

1. high red blood cells
2. reduced cardio endurance
3. progressive acne
4. excessive sweating
5. sustained hypertension
6. progressive water retention
7. progressive dependence on steroids
8. altered lipid profiles
9. high creatinine levels
10. progressive joint pain
11. gynecomastia
12. high liver markers
13. sexual dysfunction
14. increased frequency of muscle tears
15. increased frequency of tendon tears

I'm just keeping it honest here. Personally I've seen a number of heart attacks, one kidneys failure, a muscle sarcoma, and a number of things such as scary and life threatening tachycardia, sudden and dramatic weight loss(thyroid dysfunction) and some other things. All these things happened in long time users and if you asked them, by and large, they would tell you it was from, or at least in part, due to steroids.

everything has consequences.

eating fast food everyday will cause some of the same problems, if not more problems.

I'll die looking good naked.

This is a great post, and 100% true. That is why it's so important to do blood work, do cardio, eat a clean, healthy diet, cruise, listen to your body, be aware of what's going on. You have to take care of yourself, not just pin and pin for years and ignore the side effects and consequences.

i think, what u just stated above comes for abusers and over dosing...!

cuz i know long time users who use steroids in the right way, and doesnt have 1% of what u stated...! and all the side effects they experienced were reversable and tapper down when they come off cycle

What I've seen in older long term users

1. high red blood cells - donate blood
2. reduced cardio endurance - keep up with cardio
3. progressive acne - 6 months of accutane at 20mg ED one time
4. excessive sweating - body temp increases when on gear
5. sustained hypertension - diet issue
6. progressive water retention - diet issue
7. progressive dependence on steroids - very possible for some
8. altered lipid profiles - diet issue and oral issue
9. high creatinine levels - this happens to ALL lifters who are consistent
10. progressive joint pain - scale down the volume, take time off
11. gynecomastia - A/I
12. high liver markers - Use Tyler's
13. sexual dysfunction - not if you're on trt
14. increased frequency of muscle tears - streach like a mofo
15. increased frequency of tendon tears - streach like a mofo

I think 99% of what you listed can be reversed by addressing the exact issue. Moderation is key.

35 yrs old. Cycled off/on since 20 yrs old - Yes, 20 yrs old. Taken several years off in between. One "breast bud" aka Gyno behind right nip required surgical removal back in 1997 (21 yrs old). Used to be hyper sexual and easily agitated when I geared throughout college. Was not mature enough to handle the psychological effects of increased androgen levels.

Things are different now in nearly every way. However, current shitty cholesterol and extremely high BP due to running too many orals for too long - my own fault and I knew it would probably happen. Going off orals remainder of summer and probably remainder of year. Cholesterol and BP expected to recover to normal levels. Interestingly enough, liver values have remained in good standing. I guess liver support really works. Never had problem with acne. Some accelerated hair loss over the years and especially lately with MPB in maximum overdrive.

Hey Bird, you said you started at 20, and got the gyno at 21. So I can assume it was during your 1st or 2nd cycle. I gotta question for ya,

The cycle you ran while you got the gyno, did you run an AI during the cycle? Im about to run my 2nd cycle with some heavy aromatizers (test/deca/dbol) and planning on running aromasin throughout. I'm wondering if you DID run an AI and still got gyno... or if it really is a genetic thing.

If I can chime in, I ran my first 4-5 cycles running test/deca/dbol in my early 40's and didn't know shit about AI's, didn't use em, had no clue. I was lucky and never got any gyno, so in my opinion I think the propensity to it is hereditary. I'm smarter now, run AI's religiously and try to be smarter about which ones to use.

I did Not run any AI's for my first cycles. All we knew was Nolvadex for pct. We had our heads up our asses in certain ways. Good genetics helped me compete in BB shows in my early 20s. The only thing I ran during cycles at that time was Proviron. I was religious about strict dieting which enabled my BF to get down to 7% at 191lbs. I only stand 5'8" so I looked very jacked. Never had another issue with gyno since the surgical removal. Unless you want to consider heavy lactating an issue. I think it's called "Witch's Milk?" lol.

Good idea to run that Aromasin during your cycle. It's best to just flat out avoid gyno. Period.

Amen brother.

Almost 20 years on and off. High BP for sure, some libido issues, night sweats (with or without tren) spending $ on new sheets and pillows, lol.

Heavy- How long after your long ass run with sust were you able to start natural production. Did it take a long time to bounce back?

I did 8-10 weeks on, 8 weeks off for about 3 years. Just tapered down one day and did no PCT. I had zero problems sexually or otherwise. That was about 13 years ago. There is no way I would recover now.

Why would people want to be on test for so long? I mean don't gains start to slow down at 14 weeks or so? Also how much money that woukd cost! Wow is it me or sm i just pure wrong lol

Some guys choose to never come off, and just do their own trt in a sense. That way they don't have to deal with pct'ing and losing gains all the time. Past a certain weight you're just going to shed muscle whenever you come off gear. Soo everyone who competes at a high level and alot of guys who just want to be "xbox huge" stay on all year. Most (the smart ones anyway) run a low "cruise dose" between cycles to readjust a bit so when they start a high dose again they will be able to gain.

I've been on TRT for 10 years and blast and cruise year round. I have blood work done 3-4 times a year and my doctor is fully aware of my using gear. If you're smart, do the right things to protect yourself, long term use is not a negative thing.

9 or 10 years..30..no real problems..but then again I do not get blod work on a regular basis so who knows..just no real noticible problems

all of those can happen in short or long term users and the majority of those sides can be controlled if you know what you're doing. :)

That's the thing about being in gyms and seeing steroid users for 35 years. self included for over 20 of them. I've seen lots of guys do fine for many years. Still a lot of guys get the more mild negative effects and a few, usually abusers, get the really bad negative effects. One of the guys I new just in the last couple of years was a heavy user strength athlete and local strength coach just dropped dead one day in the middle of a heavy blast. Just dropped clean dead. End story. Boom and out.

I disagree. Genetics are going to be the biggest factor if you continue to use high dosages. Some people will be fine and some people are going to develop problems. Look at smokers, some die early some dont.

There is inherent risk in all we do, cross the street enough and you'll get hit by a car. But I do agree that genetics play a huge role in health, especially in those that smoke, drink, do drugs, gear etc. That is why I try to be as safe as possible with my use. I know that I am probably doing some harm somewhere to myself and fully accept responsibility for it. But it's a choice, just like smoking. Have to assess risk versus reward.

Im just about to turn 23 i can totally relate to hyper sexual and easily aggitated some days i my libido is through the roof others its not so much.. easily aggitated some times i feel like im a pressure cooker just ready to explode! ive never actually let that out..yet...

You are lucky with the acne guess its just luck! no1 in my family suffers from it i never had it atall untill i came off my second cycle of gear with no pct thing is i never addressed it..i just ignored it and didnt take the precations i could of to prevent it so i call bullshit on people who claim oh yeah only people who have had acne before will get it on the gear that is bullshit! im just about to finish my current cycle this friday and noticed 2 spots on my back already, i think it has something to do with the nolva iv been running it for the past week or so due to a small lump under my left nip! i was clear up untill about 2 days ago...:hmmm: my hormones must be all over the gaff lol im going to finish my pct and get bloodwork done get my doc to check me out! I am getting there, just a few of these minor set backs wont stop me.
