Am I the only person who has become extremely annoyed by the constant bombardment of low carb advertisements/promotions lately?
Let's take Subway for example:
Today they introduced some new "Atkins Friendly" wraps in an attempt to lure low-carb dieters into thinking they're getting something that's healthy and guilt free. What they don't tell people is that they're getting a wrap that's made of piss poor ingredients, and meat that's so processed and salt laden that I wouldn't feed it to a homeless cat. Sure, low-carb/no carb dieting can help the obese get down to a reasonable weight in the absence of exercise, but even healthy, active, young people are adopting such diets when they can easily enjoy wholesome, whole-grain carbs without gaining any weight. The country is becoming frightened of carbs and they don't have to.
