Will marijuana affect your gains? If so how bad?

i dont know bout the the affects on the gains, but it will prolly screw up your motivation to go to the gym and work out... and yea its gonna screw with ur diet too
 
If you're bulking and need to get hungry it may aide you ;p
 
I was gonna start a thread on this earlier. I smoke everynight, after all my shits done, including my workout. I have read that it decreases T production. Thats not a fact though. It does cause me to struggle with my diet a little as it always makes me want to eat crap. Sometimes I give in, sometimes I dont. It may help me greatly though once I decide Im lean enough and want to start bulking. My appetite has almost no end when I smoke.

it effects everyone different. I made great gains in HS and college and I smoked pot daily.

I wouldnt quit even if they find it does lower T levels. Its a much to enjoyable part of my day.
 
Like I said in the bigger thread , one of my buddies blazes a minimum 4/day and one before EVERY workout and is more shredded that anyone in my gym.

I'll try to get some pics up of him...

Really dude... Stay away from that stuff. I cant say much, ive done it before too, and enjoyed it at that. My stepfather smokes a joint a day, and for a 40 yr old, he weighs 185 with 10% bf... a big man at least (nothing like me of course... j/k) But really, the money you save, not only from the dope, but food too lmfao adds up. And with you being young, its a bad thing to be on your record. Also, do not forget Marijuana can be laced (combined with other drugs, such as pcp) And be an astronomical downfall to your workout goals ad motivation. Speakin with no scientific facts, but for someone your age, I wouldnt recommend it. Keep them lungs good boy! Damn dude, you skinny as is :shrug: Jus messin man.
 
I smoke daily. That being said I dont think you should. Youre too young man. With everything that goes on in a young mans life you shouldnt be smoking until you are older, if you choose too, and then you should do so responsibly. If you could do it responsibly know and not let it interfere w your life Id say more power to ya but I still think you are young. Jesus What am i youre father? Youre not gonna listen to me anywhay.
 
There is really no conclusive evidence that it negatively affects one's training. There are some studies that suggest it may lower testosterone levels, but that's about it.

I smoke a few times a week, and I still make good gains. The munchies are the hardest thing to overcome, but I have that under control at this point.

Be careful Kid, its a gateway drug. :p

I stopped because after a bowl or so, I would settle down on the couch with no motivation.
 
I use to smoke weed like 6 times a day.I stoped because it a waste of money and it I finally relized I didn't need it.When I smoked I wouldn't be able to lift becasue I lost motivation.I smoked for 3 years straight before I quit.If you don't wanna get fucked up stay away from it.Also if you have to take a drug test it stays in you for over 30 days even if you take one hit.Don't smoke weed it's stupid and most girls don't like guys who smoke.
 
My brother lifts 5 days a week and smokes all day everyday. He even smokes before he goes to the gym. Do you guys think this will reduce his explosiveness and ability to put up more weight and more reps?

Sometimes if you smoke some weed it will make you tired and want to go to sleep.
 
mmmmmmmmmm Never tired it so dunno. I don't think my boss dig it, though.
 
why start it? arent you the kid trying to get laid? you think smoking weed will somehow make the babes want you? stay clean...the hot chicks will find you more appealing (not to mention the chicks parents too.) :shrug: :thumb:
 
Look to be honest, marijuana has different effects with different people. I have smoked on some days and not felt like doing a damn thing, as to where other I have gotten blown and wasn't able to sit still for two seconds. It's all in your mind set and demeaner. As far as the hot chicks go, don't even fret man, if you want to smoke than that's the last thing you should worry about b/c believe or not I know more hot chicks that smoke than I do that don't. Either way their are options and about it effecting your T levels, that's a big negative man. Some of the biggest guy's I know that pump some of the most Iron on my college smoke on a regular basis and then go work out, it's all in the person's persona.

Wether you're 12 or 40 smoking pot is illegal. So no matter what age, its wrong ( by law ) , but its good for soul.
