I have it but I am not so bad off that I feel I need treatment for it. I feel at my level it is a good driving force, and keeps me modest.

thanks gr81, that was a good read. Even for the intro it had alot of information in it.:lifter:

Yea, great read gr81. Oh, and I have it BIG TIME

this is a great thread.............i suffer from this as well as bdd. IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had it since I was very young, and still do today.

never big enough, never lean enough, it's awful.

I also think that most bodybuilders have this, it's one of the things that drives them to continue bodybuilding.

I was reading an interview with Ronnie Coleman after the last Mr. Olympia and he said that he though his legs were small, but after he saw the pre-judging pics they looked okay. And he was being serious. Remember he came into the Olympia at 287lbs shredded.

I avoid mirrors and getting my picture taken because of it. I hate my body, but the ladies love it.

the only times I feel big is when I go shopping and know that I can't even think about buying a shirt unless it is a XXL or larger...

hearing how "huge" I am from my friends doesn't help. considered that most of them have arms and legs like 12 year old girls..

exact same for me.

that's why i LOVE the pump so much that i get from lifting. probably the best thing i get out of BB. for some reason, i get GREAT pumps when i lift, to the point that i almost feel big. in fact, such good pumps that even my boys (who BB) notice.

for instance, my boy is naturally huge (the black kid in my pics). i mean course he's worked his ass off, but his diet isnt great (he doesnt eat that much), and just how easily he grows is frustrating.
if one random night we were both to take our shirts off, he'd look MUCH bigger than me. but if we were both to go to the gym with the goal of getting real pumped up, he'd look pretty much the same, but i'd look nearly as big as he does.

i just wish my muscles always felt like that:( , cuz as soon as the pump goes away, i feel tiny again

This guy (your black friend) has awesome genetics:

he should compete.

ya, he's going to eventually.

he's just gotta bring up his legs and calves. he wants me to compete with him (actually it was my idea in the 1st place), but i'm nowhere near where i wanna be.

the kid just has incredible genetics. he really doenst know that much about BB, except to work his ass off. he def doesnt consider "overtraining", as he does TONS of sets for each Bp. and his diet, like i said, isnt great. if he were to eat big, i can only imagine what he'd look like.

its just those freakin genetics. his uncle was a BB, huge from what i hear. i think its in black genes in general haha. all of my black buddies have huge upper bodies.

I know exactly what you mean, Flex. I get amazing pumps, but dont look nearly as big when not pumped. Its drastically different. When I'm in the gym with a pump, I actually look like a bodybuilder. In daily life I feel as though I just look scrawny. I keep thinking that when I'm 185 lbs I'll feel differently, but I've put on 30 lbs or more in the past few years and dont feel any different.

he has some decent size, but I was actually referring to his nice shape, balance and symmetry, that is something only genetics can give you.

I feel exactly the same as u decribed in the last two 'paragraphs'. I feel big when i go out only when i wear long sleeved shirts. I try not to wear t-shirts outside because my arms and forearms let me down alot and am quite sceptical about people looking at them. I also appear quite lanky from the side view so i dont like people looking at me from the side. Even if someone does compliment me (very rarely) i think they are lying because deep down i know im not - or for that matter ever will be. My diet has been terrible these past few days. Every pound matters to me.

the shape is no doubt genetics, but i think his size has alot to do with genetics too. the kid doesnt eat that much at all, yet stays big. plus, with the definition of "overtraining", he DEFINITELY overtrains (if there is such a thing), as he does prob. in the 20's for failing sets for each bp.

it just seems that most black BB's i know easily have huge upper bodies, but skinny legs/calves. but damn i wish i had bigass arms like them haha.

i never allow my picture to be taken either......these illnesses are a daily battle.
