Worth it. Totally, completely, and utterly worth it.
A handful of doctors isn't worth having the rest of those shitbags here.
I dont think you realize most of us researchers wether medicine, chemistry, molecular biology are mostly non americans , many muslims ( especially turks) are doing all the basic research in this country. It's not just EMory, it's M.I.T, Georgia tech ( where my brother's CEO graduated), etc. where there is a huge contigency of foreigners, mostly non christians. Even as a chemist i was shoulder to shoulder with many muslims ( mostly from turkey, lebanon and egypt and malaysia), tell my brother's CEO and President to stop employing so many talented americans and take his business back to tunesia

In other words, muslims are everywhere, owning and running businesses americans work for and have no idea! ( see above) There is a local nursing home run and operated by a enterprising muslim persian who moved here from Yemen.
I don't think you realize islam is the holdout against socialism.. there is a reason why most socialist countries are christian , "blessed are the weak and poor", allah was a successful merchant, enterprising capitalism is in their religous blood, they are the ones starting businesses in america rather than moving offshore to calcutta or china like most american companies because america does allow for protection on a fundamental level that no other country affords. It is worth the higher overhead to conduct a business where if they follow the rules noone knocks on their doors and drags them out into the street to kill them...they appreciate the business environment here more than most american companies looking to punt things offshore....
Repubs want to create a country where enterprising people will want to open companies and employ americans, these enterprising persians, the ones who end up here on our shores, already know there isn't a greater place in the world to do this, they are already banging down the doors to do so......
