is it true that people who carry weight will get shorter. Some also commented that it will hinder one's height growth.. R these true??

i lift weights been doing so for almost a year- i am 17 and 6'5 , and 265 pounds, so dont listen to that bullshit, i grew this tall even though my parents are short mom-5'8 dad 5'10. so no worries.

we all get shorter as we age, bone degeneration, disc compression, etc., but if anything weight training will help prevent this from happening, or at least keep your back and bones healthy longer than someone who does not weight train.

My mother is 5'1" 120lbs and my dad is 5'10" 185lbs of US ARMY SOG/DI piss, vinegar, bone, gristle and sinew. I'm 6'4", 285 lbs and have been lifting since I was 14 and I am now 31.
