Saw this question on yahoo answer what advice would you give him?-> Hey guys , ok so I have been hitting the gym for about 3 and a half months now.. And I just started taking some proteins 5 days ago ... And I am not seeing the progress I really want, I mean my body is Better now but the rate of progress is not really satisfying.. So how long should I wait before i call it quits.... How long did it take you guys to start seeing some huge changes in your body...And I am really not motivated, every now and then I think of quitting!! What should i do?

Be patient, lift smart and eat right and it will come, if it was easy everyone would do it.

There are people who hit the gym for years and still look the same as you've seen them two years ago and still lifting the same weights, and there are people who can whip themselves into phenomenal shape within three months. The moral of the story is, if you're not seeing enough results means you're not trying hard enough. Eat right, lift right, rest right and most importantly implement change into your workouts and you should see the results you're looking for in an acceptable time frame.

I would have to agree that if you are confident you're doing everything right and you still don't see much change in say 6 months time then I'd personally throw in the towel and devote more time playing chess or something, but I have a feeling there is much to improve on in your case.

Tell him to stop being a pussy. It's not easy to get a nice body. If it was everyone would be modeling underwear or body building. Eat a shit load lift heavy and be a damn man. If u don't have motivation ull go nowhere.

Sounds like the guy wants to go from joe-average to a full blown bodybuilder in a few months. He should set realistic goals, not expect HUGE changes in a few months.

just quit bro, sounds like the life style isn't for you

^ This or ...go in total opposite direction to get as skinny as humanly possible by flipping a coin to either start p90x or a meth addiction.

bodybuilding is a long term- lifestyle sport that has been unfortunately disfigured by advertising false promises of quick results by supplements manufacturers and other much more harmful unhealthy ways.
Bodybuilding is in your head not in front of a mirror or in a supplement or a substance..either you have it or you are willing to embrace it or you don't.

Stop wasting money at gnc and get on some steroids like everyone else on here.

The guy basically answered his own question, despite working out for 3 months he just started to take protein. You don't have to take protein powder but given the question itself its safe to assume he's not eating a lot of protein either.

And given his 3 months of experience his workouts probably suck balls too
