She Blinded Me with Science (aka 80s music kick ass)

Curt, some of those songs were made in the 70's. Get your decades right. I actually like a good chunk of 70's music (especially rock). Don't let a mistake like this happen again. You are this close to a negging.

I despised this song in my youth, I seriously ragged my brother about how gay he was for liking it. Later in my early 20s MDMA altered my brain in a way that made this song incredible along with other music that I thought was gay. It has been said that MDMA can bring out male homosexual tendencies, and this is proof of it.

I have forever been gayed by drugs and now like some gay music. Liking this song has me tittering on the edge of kissing dudes. So let that be a lesson to you kids. Don't do drugs, or you might turn gay.
I never felt sexual while on X, maybe cause I always did too much and drank a lot. I always wanted to go into the ambient chill out room and just lounge on the couch and write in my notebook when everything was lovely and my cynicism was suppressed hoping to have serenity for infinity maybe in death, maybe through insight maybe if I dosed every night until my brain got stuck in Euphoria. And sometimes I'd feel wonderful for a few days after even that next day when your body is exhausted, but it was never so bad for me cause I always drank a full liter of water during those nights....

My mind switches from lust to trust. All of my issues melted away and I found myself in love for the first time with strangers whom I barely knew. You end up having the deepest conversations with people. You end up spending 10 hours talking with some chick until the sun comes up only to sober up and realize that none of it was permanent. It was synthetic, unreal, and worst of all, gone.

Nope. I can't handle that shit anymore.

One of the greatest bands and songs EVER!

Is this kind of a fill in the blank with your own favorite song from the 80's? There's no way you could be wrong then!

Ok, I'll be serious for a bit and most some 80s music that didn't suck, since you gusy are failing miserable.

I was a hardcore Metallica fan when I was going through my suicidal teen years. It helped me turn it to rage which powered my weight training.

G&R did a few good ones, but their ballads were pretty gay.

Aerosmith in the 80s rocked, but they went soft in the 90s.

I loved nearly all of pink floyd's music. It went well with my fuck the world and authority phase I started to develop, plus it is the greatest pot smoking music ever.

That's 70's Aerosmith for sure. Dream On was like the first song the ever put out. I thought their 80's stuff in the later 80's was pretty commercial and soft. That's just me though.

You can certainly tell musically when Aerosmith 'cleaned up'

Or you could be like the Gunners and write songs about malt liquor

And heroin.

Well, you are right. I'm not sure why I was thinking that was 80s.

Good stuff all. Haven't heard some of these for along time.

How can anyone say the 80's sucked?

I remember when my older teenage neighbor, a skater named Travis introduced me to this music back in 1987, the Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Dead Milkmen, Minute Men, Meat Puppet's, Circle Jerks, I remember he spray painted all hose band names on the sidewalk and then drew a huge penis pissing down the storm drain. I asked him if I could borrow some tapes and copied them all.. In particular I loved Black Flag My War the intensity and just pissed off rage stuck with me for life "AHHHHH you're one of them, you're one of them!!!" it always entered my head when someone I thought was cool would turn on me....Taking Retards to the Zoo was my favorite song to think of when I was on the school bus, I especially liked the Minute Men's lyrics and the funky jazzy sound when I formed a garage band in the early 90's I was kind of wanting to do something like them and Jimi and the Doors but make the songs longer, I never liked that they'd get into those awesome grooves and just spend away the energy in 2 minutes or less. Later he got me into some Fugazi, Bad Religion, etc... I found Henry Rollins had his own band and loved Weight that's a great album.....Also have followed Mike Watt because I love his bass playing, firehose had some good shit...
