Can anyone give me some advice on doing single arm lat pull downs? On what machine should I do them on? I have put them in my new workout and when I was doing them for the first time yesterday I realized I don't know what to do them on.

I ended up doing to the regular lat pull down machine and placing my hand in the middle of the bar and doing pull downs like that. However it felt slightly awkward and I felt like I was using my triceps more than I should have been. Any advice?
I cannot seem to find a video on youtube either =(

you can do them on a seated lat pulldown machine, just swap out the bar for a single handle grip (like the ones that people use for cable flyes).

I like to do them in a half kneeling position (opposite knee forward) or in a standing position (either split stance or bilateral stance or even single leg - standing on opposite leg of the pulling arm).

awesome info! Thanks! I will try this out for sure in my next workout =)

They're fabulous - I do them as a higher-rep movement after weighted chins.

Splendid!

I do 'em seated, using the "stirrup" attachment as P-funk suggested. Bring your elbow RIGHT down to your side when you pull.
