i quit smoking about 4 months ago, it was a stupid habit that i picked up in high school and was impossible to drop.
the only tip i can give people that are trying to quit is...NEVER ever ever buy a pack. if the craving is too much and you just can't hold off and need a cigarette, bum one or buy one for .50 cents from someone smoke it and most importantly KEEP ON WITH THE QUITTING. i know when i tried quitting a couple of times before i would go a couple of hours/days whatever then give in, smoke a cigarette and go back to smoking a pack a day. this last time i said no matter i'm gonna quit and for the first couple of days i actually gave in and bummed a cigarette and smoked maybe half then threw it away and continued on with the quitting. so for the first couple of days i had maybe a cigarette or two but after about 3 days i had it all under control because i didn't give up on it. i still smoke a cigarette every now and again, when i'm stressed or drunk or something but i make sure that no matter what i never go back to smoking like a friggin chimney.
