Since last 5 days I am suffering from strep throat, heavy / deep coughing (my ribs are paining :sob:!!!) & cold.

Doc has already put me on anti-bio's (& it fucked up my digestive system) & benadryl (makes me a little sleepy)

Also told me to get a chest x-ray.
:nail:

So i was wondering if I should take a break from training or should I continue?

Is it OK if continue with my daily dose of whey, multi & fish oil?

Of course take a break. I'm dealing with similar issues right now as well. I won't go back until I feel better.

I have a feeling I did it to myself as well. I've been training very hard the last few weeks and I've felt run down the last few days. Then wham! Yesterday it hit me like a ton of bricks cause I didn't listen to my body.

Chill until you feel better. You'll only make it worse if you train.

Man this really sucks.... taking break anyways.

You ain't kiddin. I'm fighting with myself to not go to the gym. I swear this training thing is a disease.

Yeah I would definitely second the "take a break" crowd but also make sure to get plenty of fresh air. In other words don't just stay in one room and stay inert. You can still get some light exercise (light walk, yoga, a floor routine), feel good about not skipping completely, and you can get some quality breathing in.

Socialgym, this post was from APRIL. He's all better now, mkay?

Hi, Built!

Yup, I am all good.....What else can happen when you have built on your side..:spin:

I take it you rested. What was your ailment? It could have been overtraining.

I overtrained once in the gym and I had cold symptoms but didnt have a cold (didnt have that leaf thing at the back of the throat) and I realised I had overworked the week before doing 2 hour workouts, some including bench, squats and deadlifts in one workout, plus other extras.
