Hi Guys,
I was wonderg what would be the difference between taking something like DECA or arranging with your doctor to get Testosterone shots?
Is any one of these prefered? Does any one of these have more advantages than the other?........Dont all steroids get converted to Testosterone in the end?

You don't likely want Deca on its own, test therapy is also probably more common, I don't think Deca is prescribed much at all.

Deca by itself will give you a limp noodle, for as long as 6 months or so after therapy, works differently for everyone but the general rule of thumb is 2:1 ratio test:deca, some go even higher than that and still have problems, some might be on 1g test and 800mg deca and be totally fine (thats a big dose of course, just an example that I've seen).

There are all kinds of steroids, not all are muscle builder related, some can actually be catabolic.

Well, whats the goal here Zed?
 
The Goal is to gain muscle mass as well as losing fat.
I have been finding it very hard to make any gains in the past 24 months (in fact I have been losing size for quite a while).

I intend to try some sort of steroid in an effort to reverse this and make me grow again but what I need to know is.....if I get the doctor to give me testosterone shots, will it have the same effect (on muscles) as a sterois such as deca or sustenon etc.

If your diet is still good, then you are saying you've been gaining bodyfat over the last couple years and losing muscle at the same time?

You need to eat frequently, and have balanced meals at each sitting, to maintain a positive nitrogen balance. Your total protein intake should be 1g per pound minimum, on roids you'd have to eat a great deal more to get the most out of them, most roids work best with high calorie diets, as well as the fact that you have the ability to put on alot of poundage during that time if you DO eat to support the gains, although you will gain fat as well.

If you've been losing size the diet, or routine has gone awry, and that is to say that if you do roids and actually do gain size, your going to be stagnate or lose it when you come off, because something else is wrong.
 
This is story I get from everyone. I cannot figure out what is wrong because I have tried everything i.e different types of workout routines and different types of diet. I just cannot gain muscle.

My original question is still unanswered as well........is pure testosterone shots as effective as other steroids?

There is no such thing as "effective as other steroids", Test is the BASE for MANY successfull stacks, by itself it will take weeks to show gains, this is where Dbol etc comes in, to get you going quickly (fast acting), then the test is used for the duration.

You need post cycle therapy as well, if you can't eat naturally then you will not gain much on steroids, on steroids you MUST eat MORE than you eat normally, and if you can't get it right naturally then you wont get it right enhanced either, no point in shooting yourself with stuff and only gaining 5-8 pounds then loosing half of that.

Post your diet and your routine, as well as your current stats.

This is THEE most important reason, that a person must be a successfull natural bodybuilder before juicing, otherwise your just wasting your time, and chasing after chemical wonderland.
 
I understand what you are saying but for some reason, diet is not helping me at all. I want to juice up to get some sort of kick start because there is definitaly something wrong.

Manfred Hoeberl, 7000 calories a day minimum, or he claims he starts to lose size. Fast metabolism can be beaten, up the fats/carbs and take in more calories.

Thats about twice what I eat, not everyone is the same.

If your diet is really spot on like you say, then your routine needs to be worked on.

Before considering steroids...

-get your protein intake up to 1.5-2 grams per lb of bodyweight over 6 meals per day...sources should be red meat, eggs, fish, chicken, turkey, and protein powder
-get your carbs from oatmeal, brown rice, yams, sweet potatoes, whole grain bread, and wheat pasta...try for 2-3 grams per lb of bodyweight each day...at least half your bodyweight in carbs should be eaten post workout
-ingest about 2-3 tablespoons of flax oil each day...morning, afternoon, evening
-take creatine everyday at 5 grams per day
-take gluatmine everyday, 5 grams pre workout and 10 post workout
-do no cardio
-train for no more than an hour at each session
-use basic, not isolation exercises
-train to failure in a rep range of 5-10 for upper body and 8-15 for lower body
-do not train more than 2 days in a row
-make sure you sleep a MINIMUM of 6-7 hours a night

If you do this and can't gain, take up golf!
 
I eat red meat for breakfast! Not Lucky Charms :)

6-7 hours sleep is not enough for me, I am ok on 7 if I get coffee the next day but I prefer 8-9!

Many roiders avoid creatine while on cycle, believing it produces more strain on the system, they do use between cycles.
 
Thanks for the replies guys, but the problem is I have no appetite (isnt this a sign that my body is saying 'no more food'?)......however I am forcing myself to eat a lot more and guess what? My waist is becoming bigger than ever and it looks disgusting! (My waist currently measures 38).

If you are bulking from 15-20x your bodyweight is a good start...

If you want to make constant gains in this sport it is essential that you start to count calories.

Zed, thats why it was suggested you hit the dietary forum, because its essential and nobody was lying to you when they said that. You need to figure out your diet and get it down if you want to grow.

Roids will do nada without the food intake my friend. You need to get an appetite. Be as intense about eating as you are about training. If food is making you sick, then get more calories from Meal Replacement Drinks.

and they will not give you minimal doses unless they determine it's necessary.

unless you either now some crooked MD or are good friends with one, they will not prescribe you steroids just because you want to get bigger, that ended in the late eighties. there has to be diagnosed medical condition before they will Rx anything.
 
Yep, I've seen 50-100mg per week or sometimes even monthly shots, thats not going to do a thing for bodybuilding, and they have to determine that your test is insufficient which is not likely, UNLESS you pay one of those $1250 consultation fees to the doctors who are risking thier license to practice medicine in order to juice you up at extremely high cost to you.
 
Well, I have hit the diet forum and I have been seeing a dietician for the past 3 months. I think he is also frustrated and he is beginning to show signs of favouring steroids. He is all out of ideas and tells me if nothing happens soon, then he will give up and let me take steroids. This guy is supposed to be the dietician for one of our football clubs.

I dont know what else to do! Even though I am not too big, I think I have reached my genetic limit.

I seriously doubt it, I know I'm not there yet. If your dietician had you eating kids breakfast cereal, they need to find a new profession, washing cars maybe.
