The USA gives HUGE amounts of money, support and resources to help those in need in Africa.

If only that was the reason. I've talked to a lot of people from all over the world, some on the Internet, some visiting the USA, and all too often the reason boils down to envy. Also, the amount of people that dislike the USA seems to be overblown. I think that most people in the world like most other people. I believe this forum is in Panama, you still got a chance. So if you government sent you to fight in a war you would say no? You act as if you have a choice. There is a reason that military force is made of young moldable minds, trained to respect and not question authority, just because you think you would say no now as an 18yo you would run to the front of the pack eager to give it your all. Consider that, until the Europeans arrived, there were no major civilization in Sub-Saharan Africa (i.e. the black countries). The closest was Nubia, a trade-nation to the south of Egypt. Every one to two-hundred years they'd forget their place, act all uppity, and Egypt would come down and ruin their shit. Not one major civilization until the Europeans arrived.

Africans have been, are, and will continue to be a shit people of no worth for the foreseeable future.
