Mudge said:John, I am ever so happy that I dont work in law. But there are enough cases where people have been sent to prison, or sentenced to death, where judge and jury felt they were completely guilty and they weren't, for us to know that this statement about "I'd be absolutely sure" is just not always possible.
That is the flaw, and burden of mankind. We cannot be perfect because we aren't, yet you believe somehow you can be? Hmm. Sounds like you are rather proud, and actually that is a sin.
But I dont know your background.
Hi Mudge,
Pride has nothing to do with this. We are talking about the molesting of a child WHICH I ABHORE!!!!!!!!!! COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Having said that WE MUST BE ABSOLUTELY SURE NEAR AS POSSIBLE before we condemn someone. I would if they could not be jailed find a way to follow their EVERY MOVE and if I were there when they attempted ANYTHING with a child..........................................
Falsely accused people certainly should not be punished or put to death either. It has happened and even their accusors have been wrong.
Take Care, John H.
