What would you buy at black friday?

I want to get a new toaster.
 
I don't want or need anything.

I only buy what I need.

Shopping for "holidays" is one of the many ills we have in our society. Separate people from their money. Oh yeah, spur the economic growth in a consumer-driven economy of which 70%+ depends on buying crap.

I loath Christmas shoppers. If you are one of those turds clogging up the roads driving around trying to save $5 on a dvd player, please kill yourself.

I'll buy my mom and dad something online and be done with it. I'll buy nothing for myself, because I buy what I want based on need and want, not what gay ass holiday it is.

I feel the same way. The Christmas shopping frenzy...is....for lack of a better word, nuts.

It's a madhouse out there. And people are running around trying to buy gifts for others that these others probably don't want nor need.

The retail Christmas started in about 1900. That's when retailers realized, "hey, we have something here."

Now Christmas shopping is even tallied in the economic reports. :(

Instead of a time to relax and appreciate what we have, many people are stressed out.

not sure but I think it's called black friday because the sales that day put the stores in the "black" in terms of accounting, etc. and gets them out of the red.

Yes, it's called "Black Friday" - the day after Thanksgiving - is named after retailers getting into the black.

Pretty pathetic.
 
im officially about to possibly sell out. i too am one of the many people here opposed to holiday shopping or more specifically black friday. wake your ass up at one in the morning and stand outside a walmart or something to save 20 bucks on a piece of sht electronics thing...

but dammit target swayed me maybe. just go married and we're nesting now and i want a 40 inch for the bedroom and ps3 and dammit if i didn't find a 40 inch 1080p for $298.

DAMN YOU TARGET FOR MAKING ME BEND MY MORALS. :bawling:

i dont want to drive a minivan w/ 3 kids years from now waking up at the ass crack of dawn to save money on there PS6 years from now. getting up for one tv doesn't destin me for that future does it?
 
I'll pass, thanks. Already bought gifts for family online. Not much for crowds, especially when it comes to shopping.
 
A few years ago my wife got ahold of the Circuit City Black Friday ad way in advance. They had a 46" Sharp Aquos LCD going on sale for $1200 marked down from $2500. We went to the store the week before Black Friday and bought the TV for full price. Then we went back on Black Friday and got the $1300 difference refunded. HOORAY price guarantee!

I think most of the doorbuster sales now for any store are not eligible for that price match.


This year we'll be in Grand Cayman on Black Friday.

Yeah, just what I look forward to after feasting the day before....going to war in some retail outlet like some fattened up warrior throwing elbows at old ladies and soccer moms heads for a digital rectal thermometer that plays the Theme song from Phineas and Ferb......and vibrates.

Why do they call it Black Tuesday(Oct. 24 1929)? Shouldn't they call it Red Tuesday?
 
I might get some pb and a bag of spinach that morning...maybe a can of tuna or 2. If I'm getting squirrely I might even spring for some fruit.
 
That's about the time I'll need to re-up my stash, probably drop $200 on a fat sack....

Oh boy, oh boy oh boy my dealer is getting some white widow this weekend, he said it's so punge he had to lock it in 4 ziplocks and a rubber gasket tupperware box with clamp downs.....it's gonna be a good Thanksgiving next week....

Awe, man, that's some good stuff. I've only had that strain once before, but it was soo moist & sticky, I couldn't roll it for about a week and a half.

It's a good thing, I could rely on the turqoise buddah!:ohyeah:
