You have to be a lot more specific than that. Stats, goals, detailed diet, duration of diet, etc...

you are eating to much:thumb: even too much veggies can make you retain calories:) *bump* for Emma

"im losing weight and my face is looking slimmer"...

Then it is working. There is no spot reducing. Your body will decide where it wants to take the weight off from. If you are losing weight but not from your midsection... that just means your body is taking it off other areas first. There is nothing you can do about this. Just keep up with it and eventually, the weight will have to come off your midsection. It just might decide to come off of other areas first.

Again, there is nothing you can do except keep pushing that body fat lower and lower. It will work but it takes time.

Ok so.... let me get this right:
1. you are losing weight
2. your face looks slimmer
3. getting more 'toned' (what ever that means  )

Ummm... This means it IS working!

Also - how do you know your waist has not changed? Have you been measuring? If you are not you should really start to do measurements - something like www.mybodycomp.com is a good way to track measurement changes when dieting (note: do not take any notice of the BF reading it gives you - just use it to track measurement changes).

But as it was said - Your body will lose fat from certain areas first and stubborn areas like your waist/love handles will usually not slim down until later... Just give it time..

obviously i know that its working by me saying that. im asking how to improve. and how can that guy say im eating too much when he has no idea how much i eat?

60g protein in morning after 20 minutes cardio
lunch is either salad or chicken(with some veggies, not much)
60g protein after 20 minutes cardio 20 minutes lifting(three muscle groups a day)
dinner changes but i usually have somehting like chicken or salad or other meat.

i mean...ive done this diet before and got thinner without even working out and now im doing it with 2-a-day workouts and lifting.

im just frustrated a littlebit because at the intensity that i do my workout i feel i should see more results

i have no set goals(yaaa yaaa) because there arent any besides to do my workouts everyday and keep on my diet.

thanks

Dunno what to say... Lack of goals and a lack of planning will usually lead to a lack of results

Could be losing too much muscle mass at the same time - so your results are going to be sub-optimal.

The diet and workout plan you are following at the moment is not very good - so it looks to me like this could be the case.

then what would be a good diet and workout plan for me? and how can i be losing muscle mass if i eat a lot of protein throughout the day and lift 6 days a week?

training 6 days a week is overkill IMO.

cardio everyday is also overkill IMO.

"veggies, fruit and protein" is not really eating right. your body needs carbs. what you've listed says to me that you're diet isn't what it should be. what about essential fats?

are you running everyday immediately prior to lifting? if so, you're compromising your training.

fat distribution throughout your midsection is directly related to diet.

muscles do not "tone", they grow and shrink.

i take whey and omega 3 fatty acids and im gonna get some carboplex and glutamine soon as well as a multivitamin, i do cardio before i lift so that wont hinder my training.

btw training is not an issue for me. i know how to lift properly and when to lift and what.

if u dont think im eating right, then can u give me a sample diet plan for a day or something?

thanks

in case u need to know im 5'10 195. i dont know my current bf% but its not high at all. i just have some excess fat that needs to be gone.

where are your complex carbs... post your meals breaking down the macros for each meal. Carbs from supps are shit... eat real food.

You may think you know everything about training. But I would suggest switching your Cardio to after weight training.

As for a diet plan read the stickies and post what you think is good and you would stick to and people will make recommendations.

i dont want to lift before cardio because it will be too long before i get home and have a shake and i cant wait that long.

and about carbs, i eat a ham sandwich with tomato and mustard on wheat bread usually every other day with some carbds like potatoes and pasta the other days usually for dinner.

if you're implementing all of your cardio immediately prior to lifting, i disagree with this statement. that's precisely why i was asking...for clarification.

if u dont think im eating right, then can u give me a sample diet plan for a day or something?
rather than someone just handing you a diet...why not do a little reading/learning/foot work? i came to the conclusion that you're diet is off based on what YOU said about needing to drop fat in your midsection.

if you post the details of your diet currently, we can give feedback.

i thought thats what this forum was for.....to give diet advice and help.

im not in major need of help here, ive been active all my life and am a highly athletic person whos strongest area is sports and athletics. i just need a little help here and there because ive never REALLY cut before like this.

i have however done a little research and have established a what i think is good diet.

ill keep you guys posted later.

thanks

you are right this forum does provide ADVICE. If you want to make improvements, then you need to put the effort in. Post your daily diet by meal and post the macros for each meal. The right people will look at it and make suggestions to help improve, what from you have said looks like a poor diet. And is probably the root of your problem

Even if u do cardio after lifting, thats ok, ur body is still working, it doesnt mean it is in recovery state...so having ur shake after ur cardio is ok.

EMMA LEIGH!!
so its true that for most people, the fat around the belly is gona be the hardest to lose?? or the slowest??

For most - once you get down to the last stubborn layer - yes - it is abdomen and thigh (esp for females).

Still no diet breakdown????

I'll take a guess that you may want to cut back on the fruit and add some good complex carbs pre and post workout if nothing else.

1 full cup oats with 1/2 bannana and skim milk added to your protein 2 hours pre w/o and post ( brown rice, potato, 100% whole grain bread will do also) will go a long way to fueling your body and stoking it to burn fat.

But like most others have said, with out a detailed list of your diet, nobody (most people here are very very knowlagable and helpful) can really make good solid suggestions.

good luck

I agree with everyting she just wrote. You do need to hit the fats. You might be losing too much muscle too quickly.

I remember the first time I dieted for my first shwoI was shicked that I needed to increase fats. I also cut down the cardio to 3-4x a week and it did wonders.
You might also want to try HIIT training. I use this all the time when cutting and it works great for me. Regular, low impact cardio sucks for me. I like the up down feeling you get with HIIT. Try it.

cardio twice a day is not overkill at all. maybe if i were 150lbs like some of you it would be......but im 200lbs and a natural born athlete who doesnt get tired from 35 minutes of high intensity cardio twice a day. and im CUTTING here, not maintaining like a lot of you. once i get to where i want to be, then ill ease up on the cardio and maintain, but until then im gonna keep doing this.

Hate to tell you but that's a sure fine way to kill a metabolism.

what I dont get is you post a question, you get several-all leading to the same idea and then you say, ahh fuck it, i'm going to keep doing what i'm doing....because its working?
