Now lets talk about another rarely seen exercise that will put a unique stress on, as well as really isolate the medial head of the delt..."leaning in lateral raise." What is that?

Get an incline bench and set it at about 80 degrees. Put a dumbell or 45 lb plate in front of it so it stays put. Lean foward and place your chest on the bench while standing. Keep your body on the bench at all times. Now do a lateral raise. Pick a weight about 5-10 lbs less than usual as these are quite strict.

On the next sets, lower the angle by a hole or two to get another unique hit on those delt fibers. You can work the delts through the entire range of the benche's angles from medial down to posterior delts.

It is a real pumper!

It can be supersetted, but it does not have to be. If you decide to use it in a superset, than do the leaning laterals first....pre-exaust.

awesome, i will try them out today!

ENJOY the PAIN!!!

I like doing them over bent over lateral raise, its almost imposible to cheat. :)

Ok, just got back from doing them, and yes they did kill!! i used about the same weight as i do for my normal lat raises, but had to do them a bit quicker. This was a really helpful hint. No way of swinging the weight or using momentum at all, very nice. It also promotes your hands to saty in that "pouring water out of a container" position that hits the medial delts so well! With these two new delt exercises my shoulders are hurting like hell lately!

I have done these before and liked them, but have since forgotten about it. will have to give a try once more.

Gopro, have you read the telekinetics article?

If so, what did you think of it?

Which article is that? Are you referring to Jerry Telle? If so, than, yes...I am quite familiar with him and his principles. Smart guy!

Yeah i think that's the dude.

The article (s) are on stanley's site i think. I'll go hunt them for anyone who wants to read them. Quite interesting concept, but getting into position to do the work is a pain in the ass.

Lemme go see.

Yeah...I have a video on his techniques and have studied his stuff. It is a bit awkward, but some of it works quite well at bringing about new soreness. Jerry is a bright guy and an innovative thinker. That is few and far between in this industry!

Has he written anything else?

(That's available on the net for free?)
