God made the best deal ever. It goes like that:
If you did something good, helped somebody then that is because he meant that way.

If you mess up, if you did something terribly wrong, then that is because of your free will.

Hooray for God. :clapping:
It all takes free will.

Hey Wit,

no problem, I completely understand that he doesn't speak for the rest of you and lately I've been trying to stay out of conversations like this one, he was just gettin on my nerves the way he was talking down to people.

And you are completely entitled to your opinion and I wouldn't want to even try to change it. I just went the opposite way you did, I was religious, did a lot of study and ended up at that conclusion  To each their own I guess. I could argue back that he allows us to live each and every day for the sake of his own amusement  guess we'll never know.

On that note I think I'll try to stay out of this topic, it seems to go on pointlessly until a mod shuts it down :p adios
Agreed. I've found that discussions like this typically result in deeply divided camps and enraged emotions. Like you, I usually avoid this sort of engagements as they rarely pruduce fruitful results.

Cheers!

So God has any influence over your actions? Is it only up to you?
I hate to say this, but I think bunny is right. Yes God does have influence over our actions, and he can give Satan the power to influence us also.

irontime said:
Alright buddy, i'm getting kinda sick of you sucking yourself off.

Ponder this, the bible clearly states that god knows everything that is going to happen before it happens, it also states that god created everything. So putting the two facts together then god knew what would happen when he created Satan, he knew what would happen to Adam and Eve when he first put the tree there, he knew a thousand years ago that I would be typing this. So if that's the case then he created everything to happen the way it did. He created Satan to sin, he made it so that his son would have to get tortured, he planned out every rape, murder, and shitty thing that has happened if the bible you are beating off is true.

So if your god in your bible is true, then he is the biggest piece of shit I ever heard about.

Did God know Satan was going to turn against him? :hmmm:  :blah:

If what the bible says is true then

Vieope said:

Absolutely it's up to me... That's what "free" will is. Sure by my free will I may decide to follow Him or allow Him to take control but by my free will I could chose to allow the devil to do the same... As well by my free will I can turn from or to one or the other... We have free will. No question about that.:)

I guess its all a game.....well probably do the same if we were God :D

It is your type that are against diversity - variety. You seem to have a total lack of any understanding of its existance and importance and meaning and purpose(s) in life and in living. You say it all the time and use your Bible as your "authority" totally disregarding ALL other FACTS as THEY ARE especially in Nature and the Natural World. You (meaning those as yourself also) ONLY consider ONLY what YOU want to consider and dismiss all other information that may be to the contrary of your "thinking"... And utilize that Bible to beat over others' heads' your "thinking" which IS MAN-MADE. You have little or no objectivity and certainly lack open-mindedness.

God created everything. So we are told. You can not just dismiss what you "think" He may or may not have created and only pick out certain things. And it is your "beliefs" based on what you learn from your "religion" - which is Man made - that have you "thinking" what is "right" or "wrong".

When you are speaking of "consequences of your actions" I hope you will realize and remember that those who are "on your side" of your "thinking" will also suffer the consequences of your actions. Or inaction.

I really feel that those of you (likeminded persons) who feel as you do are drowning in your created and self-imposed tunnel-vision.

just like i thought. you didnt even try.

Hi Foreman,

... AND we are told God ONLY appeared to Moses - no one else - and that His ONLY commandment and desire was that ALL people treat each other well - nothing more. Yet look at how many "religious types" are at the SOURCE of the world's misery and murder and hatred and bigotry....

The "religious types" can not even be faithful to God's ONLY and ONE COMMANDMENT AND DESIRE... But they sure can dream up many many others and lay their source at God's doorstep... And "damn" and persecute....

Take Care, John H.
once agian your information about christianity and what we are told in the bible is inacurate. multiple prophets in the bible had God appear to them. but i dont expect you to change your inaccurate understanding of the bible. you dont use it, why should you. its much easier to just make up stuff and say its in the bible

Have to give it up to you bio....your right on this 1, I didn't know anyone else had looked upon God.......here is another one.

EXODUS 24:9-11
Moses then went up with Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy elders of Israel, and beheld the God of Israel. Under his feet there appeared to be sapphire tilework, as clear as the sky itself. Yet he did not smite these chosen Israelites. After gazing on God, they could still eat and drink.

Thats not the point I'm trying to make. Eventually, every part of this world will become Christian. Before america was discovered, there was not one christian on this land north or south. 500 years later, christianty is the main religion practice in both americas. You cant disagree with history! Look a europe and all the kingdoms that has past, Rome, Greece, etc. They was either non christian or anti-christian. Look at europe now......So what your ancestors kill off all the Indians! Does that make u sad? I'm sorry they killed a whole bunch of pagan worshipers.

god hand,

I see you are from Dallas (Texas?). The same or very close climate exists in the Middle East as well. How hot is it there today? And how humid?

I am totally against brainwashing and mind-control. And narrow-mindedness, hatred and bigotry - so I guess I will never be a "christian"...

Thats a sad argument or comment Wit. There is little or nothing more narrow minded then Christians and many other religions logic. I pointed to about 1% of the atrocities of the Christians committed not all. Maturity is not turning your back to the truth and the " organized Christian religion" is very evil and not just in their history ( which is rich in blood and intolerance) but by their currant actions and laws. It's clear you can't see above the trees, and that what you were taught to believe, is all you believe. The next time you try to defend such an ugly religion try not to curse and make fun of the other persons comments.....Kind of proves my point for me.

Hi Foreman,

How true - and very well put.

Oh please! Dont give me this bullshit anymore! U already know what the damn Spaniards wanted when they came over here! Y havent u yet understood that every christian (or person that believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins) isnt gonna act Holy! Shit even Hitler believed in Jesus! Do u think that was gonna make him stop doing evil? Hell no!

god hand,

Many self-professed "christians" do evil everyday in the Name of God and of Christ. And think and/or believe they are "God inspired"...

Actually, you are not "acting holy" right now.

IF (notice the capitals) what you say is true then I am not the only person with that information - PBS just had a series of religious tapes they broadcast and that is one of the things that was brought up.

The Bible makes up a lot of "stuff". It was written by MEN. Over 40 each with their own point of view...
