I'm going to be helping out in here and wanted to first thank Heavy and the moderators of this forum for the opportunity to help out in here. A little about me:

Education:
Bachelors in Kinesiology
Masters in Exercise Physiology

Certifications:
Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist-American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
Certified Exercise Specialist-ACSM
Certified Personal Trainer-NSCA

Experience:
  • I primarily have a clinical background, but have worked as a personal trainer in my early years. For the last 4 years I have rehabilitated Cardiac and Pulmonary patients in an outpatient cardiac rehab program.
  • Congestive Heart Failure Educator
  • Worked in a human performance lab for 3 years conducting VO2 max tests, bod pod and underwater weighing.
  • I have taught weight training at the collegiate level.
  • I have taught cardiac nutrition for 4 years.

I have no doubt that the other moderators in here are much more qualified to give you advice on bodybuilding/powerlifting and I will defer to their expertise quite a bit. But, if you have questions pertaining to cardio training, fat loss, diet for health, risk factor reduction, or general health questions, I may be of service.

Good guy right here ladies and gents. Glad to have you aboard Exphys

So you went to some fancy college and now you think you are better then us?

Not at all. There are many bodybuilders here who know way more than me about strength training.

Always nice to see people who went to school for this stuff taking a more prominent spot in the community.

Not really trying to draw lines between school vs experience, it's just 6 of one and half dozen of another.

There is nothing like experience. The mods already here have much more knowledge than I do on bodybuilding. Learning human physiology in class is a lot different than seeing physiology at work everyday in the gym.
