Has anyone else heard that drinking chocolate milk after working out is good for you and has something to back it up with?

I don't know.....but it sure tastes good!
 
Sure why not? Its not better than faster acting whey; mild casein digests kind of slow so really is not optimal post workout as far proteins are concerned. BUt there are some simple carbs in it which is good PWO. Unless you are really strict and dedicated to bodybuilding and one of the more fun parts of your day is drinking chocolate milk after a workout than just go for. It will work as a post workout drink. However if you are hardcore serious you may want to consider the whey routine. Or drink 25 grams of whey AND then have some chocolate milk.

Just the sugar and protein (casien and not much of protein)but most choc milk has high frucuse corn syrup in it.
I myself never done it as there are alot better choices out there
 
I add 1/2 scoop of Hersheys unsweetened Cocoa powder to my PWO shakes

Adds flavor and antioxidents too

It is for me! I love it. also you can make chocolate casein pudding just use less water or milk and add some Cocoa let it set up in the fridge for about an hour. good bed time snack.
 
That sounds amazing. Hmm I may have to try this. I have a huge sweet tooth and the Night Wolf isn't letting me cut in corners. LOL, big bully. HAHA:winkfinger:
