I was having a look see on this wonderful internet of ours for some calorie charts and came across this programme that you can use for counting your calories and making a journal and shit.
Does anyone use anything like this or tried something similar??
Are they any good??
It was here http://www.weightlosssoftware.com/

I've used Vivonic fitness software. It works well for tracking your diet and workouts, and you can add tons of your own customized foods and exercises. Some of the features of the software could be better, but overall it's pretty good. The only reason I do not use it now is that I'm afraid to install it on my PC at my new job.

I use one called Balance Log. I got it for a Valentine's Day present and have been using it religously since then. I really like it because I can use it on my handheld and it updates my PC when I synchronize.

I am kind of a geek though. I love being able to go back and look at the charts and see that my macronutrient ratios for the day (or week, or month) are right where they should be and watch the little bar graph slowing heading down as I lose the fat.

It has also come in handy for me when I have been out and am trying to decide what to eat at a restaurant. I can plug in different foods and see what the meal works out to.

The only bad thing about it is that it only tracks exercise in a general way. 45 minutes of weights or 20 minutes on the exercise bike. It gives an estimated calories burned but does not allow me to actually enter my weight routine or anything like that.

I have heard good things about the Vivionic that IAB mentioned, but it did not work with my Prism. :(

fitday.com is free and pretty good.

it's on the internet so not like the vivonic that you can carry with you or load into a palm.

i don't bother with it for the exercises but it's good for tracking nutrient and calorie intake. you can add custom foods etc.

check it out!

I use fitday as well. If anyone has tried software that is comparable or slightly better than fitday please speak up ! :)

Pocket Perosnal Trainer

If you have a pocket PC (not palm pilot). My software is worth a try. It focused on weight lifting, but handles nutrition well too. Check it out at www.bigmansoftware.com. I am working on a PC version too.
