A little while ago I matched my previous deadlift record from a long ass time ago and decided by the end of the year I'd shoot for 400lbs. That got put on hold in favor of losing weight to help with a bad case of apnea. Got started on the treadmill a couple weeks ago. The routine is/was to walk for 5 minutes, jog for 5 minutes. Alternate for a half hour. The problem is that my stamina for the 5 minute jog is getting less and less. I've never been too adept at running since the dawn of time and figured I'd settle for a leisurely jog rather than trying for breaking any speed records.

The diet is pretty much unmonitored beyond watching the amount I eat. Eat in probably 95% of the time, nothing extremely good but at the same time nothing bad beyond enjoying a pork chop on occasion.

Any thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? I've thought about staying with walking at a quick pace and upping the incline of the treadmill over time but thought I'd give jogging a try. I'd like to keep up with the kids rather than having to outlast them over a much longer distance.

I'd suggest to start tracking your macro intake so you can fix your diet.
I don't see what the point is of your walk/jog routine. Seams like a waste of perfectly good time to me.
You should get back into resistance training and maybe add some interval stuff at the end of it.

are u on the cpap machine? if its bad enough go for sleep study, if u didnt already. i am going to be going on the cpap machine in november as soon as i take my 2nd sleep study so they no the pressure i need but iam not losing weight as that has nothing to do with sleep apnea.

You mean for you it has nothing to do with losing weight? Or in general? Just to clarify.
