my goal is to lean out and tone up for summer. i work out several times a week as often as i can. out of gym responsbilities make it not as regular as id like but still 4 days a week. i do a little cardio, and basic weight training. i injured my rotator cuff in november so im taking it slow for now. the problem im having is losing the fat in my mid section. i eat scencably and cant seem to make a difference. i weigh 208 and 5-11 and 31 yrs old w17% body fat. diet is basic. i only put a little sugar in my coffee, 4 packets tops, in the morning and and eat brown rice grilled chicken vegitable and thats about it 5-6 times a day. 1 protien shake in the morning- i hate eating at 6 am and cant untill about 10. i d like to lose 7-10 lbs of fat but would like to add some muscle too. its a hard balence. any suggestions im getting frustrated with this shyt.:mooh:
thanks.

You could switch up your diet, and maybe try low carb. Or even more easy, skip a meal or two.
See if i'm reading correct, you're 5'11'', 208lb at 17% bf and you're a female?

i eat scencably and cant seem to make a difference.

You definitely must track your diet. fitday.com
Once you see where your macros and total calorie intake are you'll be able to adjust to lose fat.

It's like trying to save $1000 but don't balance your check book. How do you know if you are saving money or spending too much if you don't keep track of it daily?

Low carb diet's are great for cutting belly fat, also don't drink booze.

Eat less rice. Don't replace it with anything, either. Just eat less. Belly fat is the LAST to go on a guy, but there's a little trick : more calcium in your diet. Just Google calcium abdominal fat and you'll find the studies about it. It's slow and subtle, but it works.

So drop 500 calories a day, and add calcium.

Stop eating crapola. IT alll starts with the diet and I know no one wants to hear that but that's how it works 80/20 bro 80/20 Diet/Exercise when it comes to abs.

Do you mind listing exactly your meal plan in detail, e.g.

Meal 1: 8 am
1 whole egg + 3 egg whites
1/2 c oats

Meal 2: 11 am
4 oz chicken
1 c broccoli
1/2 c brown rice

etc.

Also put it in a food counts program like FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal and list here the total calories & macronutrient breakdown (% and grams of protein, fat & carbs).

Also please list your typical week's training / cardio in some detail.

It doesn't sound like you have much to change but w/o the details its hard to make any suggestions. Just need to optimize what you're already doing because most of it sounds good, but something is off if you're not happy w/ the results of this current program. Always remember that your body can only reflect your lifestyle - it can only respond to the environment you give it work with - diet, training/cardio & recovery.

Pleases start your own thread if you have specific questions. Otherwise your exchange will get lost in this one.

I eat alot of lean foods with low fat and after 2 weeks of doing cardio for 15mins after i lift and eating lean i lost an inch around my waist

worst thread ever

If you want to lose fat, eat less calories or burn more derrrr

Op did I read correctly? Four packets of sugar for your coffee? First, post up the meal plan as sassy asked so she can break it down for you. Second, cut back on the sugar a little. Lastly...carbs and cardio! Learn to control/optimize these two things and the weight will come off.

noone else saw the :spam: coming?

These guys have it right here. Track your calories on fitday and tell us your meal plan.

Also, 4 sugars is a LOT.
