Need some good lower pull movements that I can temporarily sub in for deadlifts, and not GHRs. 1-2 good movements would be fine, I'm just having trouble finding some that aren't a variation of the deadlift.

Deadlifts are in my plan, but I want to wait until I have a trainer show me how to do them properly which will be early June - tried teaching myself tonight but I could just feel how terrible my form was and figured it wasn't worth hurting myself over.

GHRs are already in my plan and being used.

Hypers, Pullthroughs, glute ham raises just to name a few.

Yea I know, it's just for two weeks until I have someone show me how to do them. Definitely felt a strain where there shouldn't have been one when I tried to do them last night.

I like good mornings a lot.

I tried doing a GHR on the floor using a smith machine. I mustve been doing something wrong, cuz I couldnt even do half of ONE. :eek2:

Reverse Hyperextensions. They can be done on a stability ball (better get a big one) or on a hyperextension bench. Just put down a towel where your feet would go and have you legs dangle over where your torso would go during hyperextensions. I found that I had to adjust the hyperextension to one of the lowest positions to get in position.

Low cable pull-throughs.

Have you tried them on a Lat Pulldown machine? I couldnt get the hang of them on the floor either. I should probably see if i can do that now in fact.

Yeah I fucking tried god dammit. Shit, when I saw that suggestion, I thought my problems were solved. NOPE. The lat pulldown has a narrow seat. Plus, I dont see any pads laying around to place on the narrow seat.

I wouldnt trust it anyway. If a pad broke while I had my knees on it, ugh, where do you think my nuts go?

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
heaven with all the goldfishes you flushed as a child...

now call me an idiot, but i can't even find a description on how to do ghr's... how well, hypers will work for now

thanks akira...

**side note**
Doing good mornings with DB's is nearly impossible and deadly!
ok im an asshole and a complete noob.. what can i say?

glute ham raises are a superior exercise, however most gyms dont have a proper station for them.

I finally managed to fake GHRs! I used a bosu ball, tucked my feet under the leg-curl extension bar (it's padded and the right height).

My hams are STILL screamin'!

Have you guys tried doing Glute Ham Raises on a lat pulldown machine? Its what i used to do when i had them in a program.

Just hook your calves under the pads that usually go on your quads, your knees on the seat, and glute away. The advantage here is that if you cant quite get them right, you can always use the lat pulldown bar and a little weight to offer some assistance.

back to what akira said.. narrow seat and no extra pads/boards, and god forbid.. where would my nuts go??
