Marijuana while on cycle

I think its great for eating:chomp:, its takes stress off your body:buttrock:, its makes you get them extra meals in with eeeaze. I never have smoked before the gym because i get a natural high when im working out:daydream: so id rather stay sober. but i deff smoke post training:callme: usually at night, and on my days off:o.


My problem was that I could never eat any of the right foods... I throw down some serious calories but all shit calories.
 
I have to admit that I used to pull tubes before I would hit the treadmill back when I was a kid in school. My mind would escape time and I'd end up running a lot more than planned. I would listen to the news or toss in a movie and time would fly by so fast.

The mind is a powerful tool, sometimes you just got to toy with it a little. ;)

speaking of cardio...back when I was using opiates (I don't recommend it) I could literally jog all day. My normal route was not even touching me. I guess it has to do with it keeping your heart rate so slow you never get tired. Kind of defeats the purpose though if you don't get your heart rate elevated.

Doing optiates and running is probably not the best idea. :thinking:

i quit the herb the other day and picked up some 1mg melatonin tablets and downed 7 of them after a 3 mile run...

damn good sleep! but still doesnt compare
 
I believe it is a nice way to relax without inhibiting growth. If used wisely I believe it can help you grow by stimulating appetite. Rest is key and marijuana is good when you are resting too. I smoke when ever I can get away with it. My job sometimes does random tests. It is ashame because I think it everyone should be allowed to smoke pot. IF ALCOHOL is LEGAL how can POT not be?

Try Rozerem, works much better than OTC melatonin. You need a script for it though. I need it when running my tren in order to sleep. :mooh:

thanks, i'll remember the name of that for when/if i ever run tren in the future. i just had to get melatonin because the first week or 2 after quitting mary jane is hard to sleep. normally i get 6-8 hours of sleep and i never wake up in the middle of the night.
 
Wait really? You guys do it BEFORE the gym? My routine is usually after so I can kill some good food and recover. Not sure if I could trust myself high with weight suspended above my body.


Best workouts of my life were had while I was blazed. There is a trade-off between cardiovascular strength, and power output. I can lift more for longer high, but I can't run as far. But that is to be expected just like with caffeine and other stimulants. Anything that increases blood pressure is going to reduce endurance.

I train for hypertrophy and strength, so the downsides are worth it.

i just fail to see the science or biological reasoning behind smoking weed and working out harder in the gym. it's gotta be placebo or some kind of different thoughts going through your head but hey if it works good for you.

when i blazed before working out in my garage it was more of me thinking crazy shit like "man....i got all this equipment in my own house....and i can like....work out for as long as i want and hog whatever weights i want..." :ohyeah:
 
Ive done it once before lifting an it scared the crap out of me i felt very unstable i dont know how you guys do it an feel stable . I will agree post is when i do it but also when im sick i do since you know your body wants to shut an not eat .
 
The gym might not be the place to go for the first time you smoke weed. When you grow up and come to the realization that nobody gives a shit about you regardless of what's going on in the synapses of your brain, then you might give it another shot.

Weed doesn't make workouts better or worse, it's just backround noise that makes day to day life more tolerable. Why not smoke before dealing with a bunch of fat, old, lazy assholes that are gonna stare at you for your entire workout as if the laws of common decency don't apply to them. Fuckin fucks.

i've been workin out for about 10 years and have about 8 or 10 various cycles under my belt.

in those years, i have only gone to the gym a handfull pof times without being stoned. the "zone" i am in when i lift while smoked is awsome. I put on my music and go nuts...just me and the fuckin weights.

it also keeps me from getting distracted by the hot girls.

How long were you taking opiates and what were they? How did you get away from them?

Taken everything from vicodin to heroin. I was heavily addicted to H for about 2 years, somehow I continued to gain weight and keep up with BBing during that time. I'm sure if I hadn't gotten help when I did lifting would have been out the window soon.

I went to residential treatment and I still go to NA meetings every day.

Ironically marijuana happens to be my biggest crutch now. I've been clean for almost 2 months, but it's hard to not miss it. Especially when my appetite is in the shitter which has been a lot lately. Opiates on the other hand can burn in Hell for all I care. Never wanna go down that road again.
 
Diesel do you have to stay away from nug? Just wondering if it's something you're trying to do for yourself or mandated.

I hear you on it being your biggest crutch right now. It's mine too. I try to stop but then I don't really feel like it's even that big of a deal and start blazing every day again.

I struggled with opiates after the loss of my son. I am still fighting it on a daily basis. It was the only thing that helped the pain but it ended up making the pain worse. It is a constant struggle but for the better. Opiates do nothing but cause pain IMO it is only a matter of time. I actually quit smoking pot around the same time I started the opiates. I have never went back to smoking yet. One day I will do it again when I am able to enjoy it without worry of a career. Can't wait til that day lol. But I feel the same way opiates are terrible and I would advise anyone who is taking them casually to stop before it gets out of hand.
